Lol yea he basically called us idiots while thinking we aren’t smart enough to figure out he is calling us idiots

I’m above that name calling

That’s not actually what that post said, for the record.

I do think a lot of you have a case of groupthink, though.

The group thinks they want a title and doesn't believe Garrett will ever deliver it.

Winning a regular season game in October isn't evidence that he will.

Not prone to believing fairy tales that run counter to the evidence available. Even with the rest of the village up in arms.

I was the same way back when we were all so sure Zimmer couldn’t coach, too.
2007-2009 , 3 playoff games 1 win, Garrett back stabs Wade 2010-2013 0 playoffs 8-8 JG, 2010-2018 5 PO games 2 wins yes that's masterful coaching, JG is terrible, stop prattling on about that bum, pitch forks and torches are to good for him.

He has had more than enough time, but do any real coaches want to work for JJ these days?

Garrett still needs to be fired. Despite the win vs Philadelphia. Color me unimpressed. Don’t get sucked back in folks. This franchise is going NOWHERE with Jason Garrett as it’s head coach.

Some of the worst moments in FRANCHISE HISTORY have happened under Jason Garrett’s creepy watchful eye. He has single handedly lost games no coach in Dallas Cowboys history have ever lost before.

We are forever 8-8 with Garrett. It’s time for a change. And a meaningless NFC East Championship won’t change that either

I repeat FIRE JASON GARRETT
Garrett's status doesn't shift with every game, so the Philly win alone doesn't change anything. In any case, we really need to get over it for the remainder of the season, because the odds of Garrett being terminated midseason are next to zero. The discussion will make more sense as the season winds down.

Everybody wants a title. The question is what's the best way to get it given the hand we've been dealt in Dallas. Winning more regular season games than other NFC coaches actually is evidence he could. People just don't want to accept that because it's been so long since we've been to a Superbowl. But the question ought to be whether or not the team can continue to improve as it has steadily done here recently. Until it stalls, there's no great reason to replace the coach unless an obvious upgrade is available. People want to see change for the sake of change because they think there's a clock on when a team should win a championship.

Not really interested in indulging this particular juvenile fantasy. What you're describing didn't happen, so your post can be dismissed.

No. Finally he has a team together in this extremely difficult era of salary cap/free agency.

I posted this recently in more depth.

Facts:

-Jason Garrett has a higher win percentage than both Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells in the regular season. Anyone who can set aside their preconceived beliefs can see the progress.

-9 years and no SB? Yeah Parcells last 11 years he had a losing percentage in the playoffs. With two one-and-done wild card losses in Dallas (In the era of free agency salary cap).

-Jimmy Johnson's last 4 years he couldn't get past the divisional game. And, had a losing playoff record with Miami in 3 consecutive seasons/Never finishing 1st in the division (in the era of free agency and salary cap).

(Sometimes. "you are what your record says you are" is misleading)

-Parcells lost to the lowly Lions in '06 when we needed home field vs. the Seahawks in that one playoff game.

-Jimmy Johnson lost to the Lowly Rams in 1992 which may have effected our homefield that season. I would have to go back and verify that last sentence.

-And I brought up not to overlook the Jets this year. We did. Every coach in the league makes that mistake.

The above coaches are great. Different styles etc. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AGAINST MY BOY JIMMY JOHNSON OR BILL PARCELLS. You have to read my post in the other thread:

https://cowboyszone.com/threads/wha...-coach-minus-the-puppet-strings.444060/page-2

-Garrett DOES hold his players accountable, despite opinion.

-We are the 3rd most efficient team (Aikman Ratings) in the league behind only the 49ers and Patriots. And are #1 most efficient in offense. But our defense is hitting it's stride.

THE ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE FACTS

THESE ARE ASSESSMENTS:

-One constant. And one position we cannot overlook. We better keep Tyron Smith Healthy or have him work with the backup. Those 3 losses were minus Tyron. Like previous seasons, we need that LT or losses come in bunches. AKA Erik Williams of the '90's.

-I don't see a team that can beat us. Not even the Patriots. But the Dallas Cowboys can't beat themselves as they did in the 3 losses this season.

-This year, we have a TEAM, playing for each other. And this road feels more to me like the 1992 style. I haven't said this since the 1990's.

-SOMETIMES the grass is not greener on the other side of the fence. We just have to take care of our own lawn!!!-

His regular season record is only better than parcells and Johnson bc they both took on dumpster fires. Johnson with Dallas in 89 and Parcells multiple times with NYG, NE, NYJ and Dallas. So their first few seasons hurt their overall record and aren’t indicative of the coaches they were.

And man if you really believe all that about nobody being able to beat us after we lost to yet another backup QB (like the 12th to beat a Jason garret team), the 1-7 Jets and Green Bay who absolutely OWNS Jason garrett coached cowboys teams (1-6 under Garrett vs GB) then you are in for a huge letdown.

Cause I’m hear you tell you, they may win the division bc the giants, Commanders and eagles are trash this year, but they will get hammered against any team in the playoffs.

Seattle, GB, SF, Minnesota, Saints, Rams would crush Dallas in the playoffs

Has a SB champions ever lost to a team in the same regular season that finished with less than 3 wins?

I don’t believe the Jets will win more than 3 games this year

Jimmy and Parcells are great coaches. As I stated in the link. There are variables. Stats don't tell the true story regarding coaches or teams. There are always variables.

Regarding the rest of your personal assessment regarding the Cowboys. Be sure to bring this link back up at the end of this season.

Talk about delusional and living in fantasy land, what of those things didn't happen? You just can't accept the truth, no answer as your usual, just avoid the facts. It's sad that little boys like you just can't accept the truth.

No, he doesn’t.
It’d be nice if our fans had a little better understanding of what’s actually been going on all this time though.

We haven’t been 8-8 in a while. And when we were, it was with teams with sub-.500 talent.

Garrett brings little to the table. Its time to move on.
