Since 2015, the Cowboys have just two defensive touchdowns.

Since 2014, the Cowboys have just one return TD

Aaron Jones - GB VS Dallas 2019 - first RB to ever have 4 rushing TDs vs Dallas

The Cowboys are the only team in the league to not have a drive start in opposing territory this season

Jason Garrett Cowboys teams are 1-6 vs. aaron rodgers

Also 0-4 vs. rodgers when the game is played AT HOME

The cowboys absolutely should not fire Garret mid season.

If the cowboys do not get past the divisional round, they absolutely should look at replacement coaches and not give Garret a new contract.

On another note. I would be perfectly fine with them hiring Garret for the front office. He has the Jones’ trust. I feel like Garret’s greatest strengths lend themselves to being a better front office, overall strategy, personnel guy, as opposed to a game day coach.

I like the consistently and mindset he has brought to the ball club. Let him continue to help in that regard from off the field. And let’s get fresh blood with some new perspectives coming up with game plans and coaching on the sidelines.

I think Marinelli had a rotten record vs. Rogers too.

Garrett *and* Marinelli are bad matchups for good QBs.

Garrett's natural inclination is to protect the reputation of the *offense*. If he has the lead, he won't push the offense to hold the ball or run out the clock. Put the onus on the defense to win the game. Whether it's Rogers or Brady, doesn't matter. "Next man up." "We do what we do."

Marinelli's defense is designed for "bend but don't break". It's waiting for the other QB *to make a mistake*. Good QBs don't, so Marinelli loses.

In 4 down territory, it's even worse, as good or bad, QBs a more likely to score using 4 downs than 3. Think the "we do what we do" brain trust takes that into account?

Putting those two *on the same team* is a disaster at the big dance where all the best QBs get an invite.

Since 2011, home teams have lost a game in which they held a lead of 15 or more points only 7 times. Dallas owns 3 of those losses.

Most home losses when scoring 30+ points since 2010
1. Cowboys - 10
2. Saints - 5
2. Bills - 5
4. Giants - 4
5. Lions - 3

Dallas' 15-10 home record when scoring 30+ is easily the worst in the NFL since 2010.

Teams win 89% of those games

There was the one where a QB with a rating of 140+ has only lost a small handful of times, but Romo has three of them. He's the only QB with multiple losses under that scenario including the only one to lose in the playoffs under that same circumstance.

Only team in NFL history to follow two different 13-3 one seed seasons with a one and done playoffs.

Broke the team record for fewest rushing TDs a few years back. The record broken was of the strike shortened 9 game 1982 season.

Also records for fewest turnovers generated. not sure if it was just franchise or NFL record. I think it was tied for worst ever with the Saints maybe.

Current streak of 28 games without a defensive TD (longest in team history AFAIK), and also 36 games without a special teams TD (also longest in team history)

Two games where we reached 99% win probability and lost, both in the same year to Green Bay and Detroit.

2013 the defense gave up 6645 total yards, the most in team history, and third most in NFL history
as long as garrett is the head coach this team is not going any where his history will tell u that

Can anybody defend this?

Garrett is the only Dallas Cowboys coach ever to :
  • Lose a game when leading by 14 in 4th qtr (jets 2011)
  • Lose a game after leading by 24 (detroit 2011)....did a similar repeat of this later in GB 2013 game
  • The Cowboys (JG) established a new franchise low in rushing touchdowns in the 2011 season with five, which included a rushing TD by Romo himself
  • Ice his kicker on a winning kick and lose the game....Arizona 2011
  • Lose 3 win or go home games in a row
  • Have 3 non winning seasons in a row, (tied with Campo) also coach Landry when the franchise was first created
  • Go 8-8 3 seasons in a row
  • Had the worst defense in franchise history
  • Go 10 quarters without scoring a TD. Club record. (2017)
  • Score single digits in 3 straight games. Club record. (2017)
  • Lose to a team who had more penalty yardage than offensive yardage. Club record. (2017)
  • Have 4 losses by over 20 points. (2017)
  • Get 8 sacks in 1 game. The most given up by any Cowboy team since 1991.
  • Score 10 points or less in 3 straight games. (2017)
  • Lose a game when running 42 times in a game (2012)
  • Allow 625 yards and 40 first downs in a game (2013)

Jason Garrett is the now the only coach ever to lose a game while winning Time of Possession, Total Yards, Turnovers, Pick up 25 First Downs, and convert at least 10 or more 3rd downs. (91 game sample)
It takes so little to get an otherwise bright and capable person to just disable the connection between their brain and their keyboard. Let alone the not-bright and incapable people.

^^remember this lol. How dare you post those stats

That's what so funny about all the venom in these Garrett threads. I really think Garrett is in the front office next year no matter what. If we go deep in the playoffs, he rides off into the sunset with a big raise. If the team doesn't, Kris Richard or someone else is the savior and Garrett "takes his skills to a FO position where he can still help the team", which is a better fit for him anyway.

Your powers of perception are staggering.

If I approached the world the way a dog barking at a squirrel on the other side of the fence approaches the world, I'd probably think that the humans were aloof and condescending, too.

Woof-woof, 'guru.'

Winston Churchill said "You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks.”

But in this case, I'll bring more rocks for you.

Garrett still needs to be fired. Despite the win vs Philadelphia. Color me unimpressed. Don’t get sucked back in folks. This franchise is going NOWHERE with Jason Garrett as it’s head coach.

Some of the worst moments in FRANCHISE HISTORY have happened under Jason Garrett’s creepy watchful eye. He has single handedly lost games no coach in Dallas Cowboys history have ever lost before.

We are forever 8-8 with Garrett. It’s time for a change. And a meaningless NFC East Championship won’t change that either

I repeat FIRE JASON GARRETT
Not one salient fact presented there. Your only present yourself as a panicked irrational Garrett hater. How sad for you.

What consistency? That is one thing Garret has absolutely not brought. We just lost to the Jets. Mindset?

Garret's next job will be in a front office or administrative position. Nobody is hiring him to coach football. I guarantee it. He's only been allowed to coach this long b/c Jerry has a sweet tooth for him.

That’s what I’m saying. He should be in a front office.

Losing to the Jets isn’t necessarily indicative of a lack of consistency when it comes to Garrett’s approach and demeanor.

His approach and demeanor are consistent...............which means very little when the teams performance is not.

That’s a highlight of his coaching weaknesses. We lost the Jets game due to the coaches inability to adjust the gameplan adequately due to injury to the teams key players, and to come up with a creative scheme to confuse a young opposing QB and make sure the defense got pressure on him, among other things.

Those are the gameday coaching issues I spoke of which is why I don’t want him as head coach anymore.

Which is why I said he would be better in the front office and not as a coach......... consistency is good in a player personnel role IMO. Inability to adjust things on gamedays can be killer.

In my opinion, the Cowboys should fire Garrett ASAP.
It will be at least 9 years overdue.
He should have been fired after the opening night game of the 2010 season, and he should have been fired after the first half of the Green Bay Massacre that got Phillips fired.
He should have been fired after 3 strait pass plays to Dez Bryant vs the Saints that same year that resulted in having to attempt a 59 yd field goal to win the game.
He NEVER should have been named head coach.
He should have been fired after icing his own kicker vs Arizona.
He should have been fired after blowing a 24-0 lead and losing to Detroit by letting Romo keep throwing interceptions.
He should have been fired after choking and blowing the entire 2015 season.
He has single handedly destroyed the integrity of the Cowboys franchise.
Fire him, and let whoever wants hire him.
They will be one less team to worry about.

On another note. I would be perfectly fine with them hiring Garret for the front office. He has the Jones’ trust. I feel like Garret’s greatest strengths lend themselves to being a better front office, overall strategy, personnel guy, as opposed to a game day coach.

Fire him and dont look back.
