I feel it's a very winnable game.
Our offense can match up well with their defense, doesn't matter if Smith and Bowman are out. We can score on them.
The key is defense obviously. Control the running game, keep Kap in the pocket, do not let him run. Force him to beat us with the pass. Even with our new defense and all the rookies. I don't think he can do it.

That's true, but the last two years we've played at KC and at Seattle. In 2011, after we lost to the Jets we actually won in SF.

This team does have its problems getting up for games after getting a big win (kind of a league epidemic to be honest), but I don't think where in the season that happens matters.

actually that is the symptom of the problem. Unable to win back to back games when it matters; unable to keep from slumping after a big game. The Championship teams do this. Boys have not. That is why frankly if we do win game one game two becomes VERY important. That will be a sign if things really have changed or will it be the SSDD.

Good points on personnel issues. The situation as to Gore and the 'rook,' Hyde, will bear watching. Whether Gore gets early touches and if Gore is healthy again.
