In high school, I played WR and another guy on the team wasn't married, but always wore a big, gold ring for some reason. Dude would never take it off, even showered with it on after the games.

Anyways, to make a long story short, in one of the games that season his ring got caught in the facemask of another player and it dam near ripped his finger off.

Never wear jewelry while playing sports.
