I'm disappointed in the pixelation around the edges of the players and football. EA Sports needs some competition in the NFL gaming department because there is no one else to make them raise the bar.

The graphics and game quality should be far superior if you put it up against other more recent games (Call of Duty, Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, for example). Madden is stuck in 2007...ish.

It will never happen. The NFL sold EA exclusive rights through 2012.

It certainly looks like last years game, where the defender could jump, swat the ball and turn around to tackle the receiver he was covering in one motion.

Too bad you guys are just gonna buy it again because EA has the NFL's licensing rights till 2012.

Although, to those who're interested, there's a football game called Backbreaker coming out in may which is supposed utilize the Euphoria engine GTA 4 had which is the closest thing to realism a game has IMO.

Apparently every tackle is supposed to be different due to the engine it uses.

No, wrong. The game mechanics have been atrocious since they re-tooled the entire engine for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. It was much better when it was on the PS2.

It's not awful. The coding staff just has no real desire to polish the game because then they'd be out of a job, wouldn't they.
