Made a couple trades. First with new england from 28 to 32 for their second rounder. And with cleveland I used our pick at 28 to get 3rd round pick 1 4th round pick 1. Let me know what you think.

Round 1 Pick 32 (N.E.): Adoree' Jackson, CB, Southern California (B)
Round 2 Pick 32 (N.E.): Jake Butt, TE, Michigan (C-)
Round 3 Pick 1 (CLE): Davon Godchaux, DT, LSU (A)
Round 3 Pick 28: Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE, Villanova (A-)
Round 4 Pick 1 (CLE): Amara Darboh, WR, Michigan (A+)
Round 4 Pick 27: Josh Carraway, DE, TCU (B)
Round 6 Pick 27: Charles Walker, DT, Oklahoma (A-)
Round 7 Pick 10: Tedric Thompson, SS, Colorado (B+)
Round 7 Pick 28: Ezra Robinson, CB, Tennessee State (B-)

Love the first pick obviously, where was Fabian Moreau? No way he is not taken in the first two rounds. If Dallas take Adoree over Moreau they are fools!

Plausible in terms of the players early on, but there's no way anyone is giving up a 2nd to move up 4 spots at the end of the 1st. More like a 4th or 5th.
My question is this: why would you even use a simulator that would allow such a ridiculous trade?

Dal pk 28 =660 pts
NE pk 32 =590 pts NE pk 64=270 pts

so it let you trade a pk worth 660 pts for pks worth 860 pts
thats a net gain for Dallas of 30% which is crazy. I used the trade gadget on draftwired to get these numbers

I suggest that you use a draft app that kicks the crap out of FirstPick.
http://draftwired2.com:8888/apps/DraftWired

in addition to realistic trades, this app is absolutely loaded with features and it has
a group draft that is light years ahead of the rest.

don't take this personal, my criticism is with firstpick

I don't see the Villanova DE falling that far.
Yea if he's there in the 3rd Dallas better be on the phone... a lot of ppl have him as a late 1st-mid 2nd. Getting him late 3rd would be nuts.

Don't like Jackson myself.

Can't imagine Pats making that trade.

maybe it's necessary to remind people of how totally unrealistic FirstPick drafting can be.

It's all in good fun, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to have just one First Pick thread...kind of like the cartoon zone.:muttley:

I recall last year people were getting Zeke in the mid 2nd round, for example....lol

That is a great site. I played with as a guest and while limited to 3 rounds, I had fun. May join and really play with it.

I'm not following you. You have us trading our 28 to New England for their 32 then you trade our 28 to get a 3rd round pick?

Something about Tedric. Think he shoots up boards.

I say OJ Howard is our first pick.

I would like that but he will probably go way too high.

The players I like going into the draft usually end up going a few picks before us.

Somehow Carson Wentz managed to go from unknown to the #2 pick in the draft.

I want defense but it's hard for me to see a defender being better than OJ Howard.

Yeah that's true, but every year there's always that one player that we expected to go higher that slides into the 20's.
