First play by the boys?

Run up the middle, usual Parcells game plan.
:laugh2: Parcells' first play of the season is something Vegas should be taking odds on. Our recollections of Bill's tendencies might be as 'off' as our sense of his overall pass-run ratio.

Anyone with a great memory remember what Bill did his first three years here?

I'm tempted to go back and look at all three tapes...

1st and 10

Bledsoe drops back to pass, is pressured and throws it away.
2nd and 10

This is why I think Parcell's will run on first down. We all know Bill wants to play field position and hates to be in 2nd and 3rd and long situations. This would be his concern If we received the kickoff and didn't get past the 30 on the return. I think he will run the ball and hope to get 3-4 yds. and keep the positive yard momentum going.

As for me, I would love to see us open up the game with play action pass to try and put the Jax D on their backheels.

slant of 8 yards to crayton or who ever parcells decides to be the third reciever. next play julius for two up the middle.

How about the annexation of Puerto Rico?

Did anyone else notice that when they actually ran the "annexation of Puerto Rico" (after some tweaking by Madden) it didn't even remotely resemble the play as it was originally designed?

The Cowboys first offensive play resulted in a sack in both 1999 and 2000.

Run..... left side behind Koiser and Flo everybody and their mama will be looking for a PA pass to TO

It's really sad when most of us think we can "maybe" get 2 yards if JJ runs up the gut. What does that say about JJ and our OLine? If we are all in agreement that 2 yards is a typical run up the middle for Jones, we may need to start looking for a true replacement.

I get the feeling that either Columbo or Adams gets a penalty for a false start.

If they throw I would guess they will go for a big play to Glenn. Second choice would be an over the middle pass to Witten for 10-15 yards.

I don't rule out the possibility of going deep to TO right off though. It may not be successful, but it would plant the seed with Jacksonville's defense that they had better give him all the attention they can - thereby opening up some possibilities for the running game and short passing game.

in a 2 tight end formation, Jones runs up the middle for maybe 1 yard or Gurode gets called for a false start first and then the run up the middle for a yard

When we get the ball, we'll get it on the 26.
1st & 10 - Play-action to Glenn on a comeback route for 8.

Pass to Witten for 3 up the middle.

Sideline fade to TO - incomplete.
Toss right to JJ for no gain -
13 Yard out to Glenn for a 1st -

1 yard gain up the middle
playaction stop fade to TO for a 1st
toss left to JJ for 4
quick hitch to TO for 3
Draw play to MB111 for 2
Punt!!!

Book it!

Short pass to either Patrick Crayton, Jason Witten, or possibly Terry Glenn for 4-5 yard gain.

hmm i can almost guarentee well play action it....watch n see

Can't imagine we'll see PA on the first play.

I'm sure it'll be a run off tackle.

Anyone remember a game a few years ago where Jerry leaked the first play to the announcers? It was a bomb to Ismael (i believe), and it was...uh hum, intercepted.
