If we're stuck on the 3rd seed heres what I want to have happen wk 17.

STL wins
ARI wins
GB wins

Seeds
1. GB
2. Arizona

Wild Card round
6 Detroit @ 3 Dallas
5 Seattle @ 4 Atlanta

Division Round
3 Dallas @ 2 Arizona
5 Seattle @ 1 GB

NFCCG
5 Seattle @ 3 Dallas (The rematch)

Heck, you've already taken care of the hard part -- St. Louis beating Seattle. If that happens, I'll be focusing all my energy on Arizona losing, so we can get the #2 seed, not Arizona winning so we can play Detroit. But yes, if we need to play Detroit, I'm fully on board with that too. We'll destroy that team.

It almost certainly will be Detroit. That Monday Night loss to the Skins cost us the no.1 seed.

What worries me about Detroit is they match up really well with our strength (offensive line/running game) and our weaknesses (secondary and no pass rush). It will be a tough game for sure and Romo would have to be really sharp to win it.

Spot on post
Detroit worries me a lot
Now if we can force mistakes that could be key
Also we should be able to get key players extra rest this week and the coaches should be ONLY focusing on that game for these 2 weeks. No game planning for the skins

So while I sure would like to see Dallas get a win over Detroit in the WC round, I'm not pumped about a trip to GB in the Divisional Round. That Packers offense has been pretty awesome at home, although most of that has been against unimpressive defenses. With that said, Dallas doesn't have an impressive defense either. Getting past GB in GB and SEA in SEA would be a pretty tall order.

I'd be focusing on that too if STL wins. I simply pointed out if we end up the 3 seed I would want my scenario to play out.

We probably will get the toughest path to the SB out of all the NFC teams.....Det, GB then Seattle. If we can somehow make it through that, the AFC team doesn't stand a chance against us

Do you think GB and Seattle want to face the Cowboys? I'm sure they would rather have the Panthers, Cards, or Lions.

Not to take anything away from Detroit but their schedule has been easy beyond belief. Just look at it. I know they have to play the games in front of them, and props to them for winning them, but they struggled mightily on offense for most of the season and that vaunted defense hasn't faced too many top offenses. The Cowboys need to respect every opponent, I just don't get all the fear of Detroit. If the Cowboys had their schedule everybody here would be saying we haven't played anybody.

I like all of this, except I much prefer this NFCCG: 4 Atlanta @ 3 Dallas.

I was thinking the same. Yeah, they aren't playing all that well. They were lucky to win that Chicago game imho.

But if their Dline outperforms our Oline we may struggle in this game. I think Stafford goes to Calvin alot....a big dose of megatron. Also, Bush is back and looks decent too....

Its hard to win in this league, and they are doing it this year.......but they just dont "look good" doing it.

Every game in the playoffs will be a tough one...

I'd like to see GB in Dallas. In GB, not so much. Not that I'm chalking it up as a loss, but looking at the facts and taking my homer hat off, I'm capable of acknowledging they score a lot up there. In regards to Seattle,I think they're rolling so hard that they don't really care who's in front of them. I do agree though that I think both teams would rather face the 3 you mentioned.

Yea, since I think Seattle and Green Bay both win next weekend, it's almost a lock that we will get Detroit

Dallas will never beat the Eagles in their own place. It's a lock.
Philly ain't going to lose another game this year. It's a lock!
The Cowboys won't do as well against a QB like Luck. .....

So much for locks.

So if the Rams beat Sea we could get a 2nd home game. Just asking as I didn't look.

Yeah. Those receivers concern me.

I hope it's not 1991 all over again.

2nd round home game. One home game, but it would be div round after a bye. Arizona has to lose to San Fran. Unleash your inner Kaepernick and Shaun Hill and cheer for the Niners/Rams!

You are correct. The Lions haven't faced the toughest opponents this year. They beat the Packers when they were still struggling early in the season and got smashed by the Pats. Other than that they have played so below average teams and barely won. I'm a little mystified by how much they've struggled to score. They have a lot of offensive weapons but don't score a lot of points.

It's the playoffs and the NFC is STACKED this year. Anyone we play will present challenges. Bring on Detroit!

The good thing is everybody who plays us knows that we present challenges as well. Should be fun. How far will we go?

It is shocking considering they have the Megatron who is supposed to be 8 feet tall! One would think they would have an easier time scoring.

Stafford is mistake prone, and I want revenge for the debacle last year.

Here's a stat I didn't see posted. Matthew Stafford has NEVER beaten a winning team on the road. I saw it a couple weeks back when he played the pats.
