Giants, Maimi, Chicago- none of them have enough talent in QB and WR to really burn us badly. If TNew needs that much time to heal well then I am for keeping him out. The FOURTH game, thought, against St Louis, we WILL need him. They do have the QB and WRs to fry us.

I agree, let him rest and be completely healed for those teams that come later in the season.

St Louis has NO D though-with a nice pass/run bal, we can at least keep their potent O off the field. Nonetheless, I feel we can win a shoutout with them OK.

I wouldnt count out a "show up", "tough" game from the Giants. After all we are the Dallas Cowboys. Every other teams SB is against us. Remember.

Eli could hurt us.

Call me crazy, but I don't like the idea of Aaron Glenn covering Chambers and Berrian. Or even despite his success...I don't like him covering Plaxico Burress. He just doesn't have the size IMO.

We can get to Eli with the shape their O line is now in. Get pressure on him and he folds like a cheap umbrella.

HUH?

you think the giants dont have the talent, your crazy. They are very talented and will have toomer, burress, shockey, smith and jacobs. you think that is a bad group? I sure dont. And all this bagging on eli manning is moronic.

Today you say we should beat them no problem, based on nothing.

If we lose to them and newman doesnt play you will be here complaining about wade phillips. and lookout if we lose to miami, you will want everyone fired.

As I pointed out, the Giants O line is in poor shape and we should be able to get to Eli- and it is well known he folds easy. Sorry if that upsets you.

And less not forget that Eli gets off to FANTASTIC starts(he'sa 70% completer throughout 1st halves). His achilles heel is that he just can't finish well.

Yah-would have been better if we played the Gints in DEC.

What are you talking about? Even with the departure of Luke P, I thought they kept their line intact.

Their LT is not very good; and they have had trouble elsewhere.

Giants, Maimi, Chicago -

I dont know about that one buddy. Glenn can't cover speedsters (Berrian) and he sure as hell can't cover anyone bigger/physical than him (Chambers, Plaxico). So unless we get a tremendous amount of pressure on the QB, I don't see Glenn winning any of those matchups without help. I honestly wouldn't even trust Glenn against Brandon Lloyd.

I would have to agree with this poster. From what I've heard too, Rex, despite the fumbles, has improved substantially this offseason, especially with that QB coach Lovie brought from SF(Pep Hamilton, who did wonders with Alex Smith). To me, AS is *worse* than Rex.

What scares me more about Miami is their nasty D. They may be old, but they're still a pretty darn good unit.

Henry can pick up some of the slant- he is healthy and a very solid CB. If Aaron has truly lost it then we are really in deep guano. But I think he has enough left to handle most #2s around. Henry can man on Plaxico, and I think Glenn can hold his own with Chambers, or Toomer. Our worry will be more when we have to go to the nickel- is any of our young CBs good enough to hold their own there?

We can over power the Miami D if our O line plays well. And right now their QB situation is pretty sad.

Dude-Calm Down. Only a few posters here suggested we SHOULD sit him for 3 games. *whew* I'm glad Jerrah and Wade DON'T read this cockamania board.

Let's wait until 9/09-until then, go catch the next Rush Hour movie.

Really? the Giants have the Deepest and biggest WR core in the Division and maybe NFC ...and the one thing eli does well is toss it deep ...around the goaline the Giants go 6 '3' plus including Shockey , not to mention the huge RB in the backfield.

Calm down? Are you kidding? I'm sitting here trying to figure out if this thread is worth reading. Now I know. Thanks.
