First two picks should be RB and WR

Some may want OL, DL, etc but the cowboys have done this a lot thru out the years with top picks only to have the OL and DL talent wasted thru out the years with nothing to show for.

They recently had one of the best offensive lines and majority are gone.

I'm ready to see a WR and RB with the first two picks and they can do whatever they want with the rest of the picks.

I love the idea of already having Milton, a RB, and another future WR to solidify the offense for the future.

Online and defense should be focused heavy on in 2026 FA and the 2026 draft.
That line with nothing to show for has made Dak one of the highest paid bum qbs of all time

Neither did his old team. He has been on 2 teams and has only proven to not be very good.
How so? Look at the coaches and QB's on each team. Not like it was Allen or Burrow or Mahomes were out there to et the all to him. With coaches that did not want to utilize him.

I will wait to see what he does this year, I do not care about the past years.
May turn out to be a solid WR, or could be the next Miles Austin (minus the ham string issues) or could be to the PS.

Yes I have been coming around to the running back wide receiver first two rounds idea idea. You could flip-flop them also

Consider who was at QB at the time, and no run game.
This same line of thinking could have been used to go into next season with Rico as our RB1. In fact Rico would be more justifiable than Mingo. We could use the same thinking to justify making no changes. He was traded for a reason. He has not produced on either team. Not saying to cut him but also he has shown zero reason to pass on a top WR.

I don't know about all this future stuff

we just need to worry about the short future which would be this year and yes, we need some skilled players doesn't necessarily we're going to do 12,44, and 76 probably going to end up moving down still getting some top targets and getting more picks in this draft.

Rico was / is not a #1 RB. A lot of good players are traded for reasons. They are not kept in FA either for various reasons. Sometimes they just need a new start. We do not know the situation with Mingo. Fans think they do, they think they know better and know it all.
Easier to be down on players, as most do not pan out. So they can thump their chest and be right / not disappointed.

I do not know how Mingo will turn out, but I am willing to wait and see.

I do agree, if a WR is there, do not pass on him. They signed 2 RB's, which can be a s good as Rico was. But do not pass on a RB either.

He did not produce here as he was not given the opportunity. Especially coming here mid season, learning the offense on the fly. And a very predictable offense with injuries ad a back up QB, regardless of some fans saying Rush was better than Dak. Dak was having a bad year before his injury, but Rush was not any better, if not worse.

It was not a good situation. I will wait to see in TC and PS games, not that may tell us a lot.

All this talk of "trenches" can wait lol, we need PLAY MAKERS!!!!! We can find an OL (RG etc later in the draft) and there's PLENTY of DT's we can look for after these first 2 picks!
Although I'm for drafting another player to compete at RG, I agree we can wait until later in the draft to do it.

That doesn't mean I think the line that we have is going to be great. It simply means I'd like to find out if the line that we have is good enough before spending another first-round or second-round pick on it.

We've got options at each spot.

At LT, obviously Guyton was selected to play there, but if he falters, I like what I've seen from Richards and Tyler Smith is the ultimately fallback.

At LG, Tyler Smith is an All-Pro. However, if we had to switch him out to LT because the other options faltered, I like what I've seen from Richards at LG in the preseason. I know that's just preseason, but he was very solid there.

At C, Beebe should settle in even more in his second season and brings power to the position. If we ended up moving Smith to tackle or needing Beebe at RG, though, Hoffman could step in at C and at least be decent

At RG, it looks like Hoffman will get first shot, but Bass has played well when called on, we brought in Jones in FA and Richards could end up in this competition if Guyton handles his business at LT. Plus, there's always the option of moving Beebe, and who knows what to expect from Nathan Thomas.

At RT, we could certainly upgrade Steele, especially as a pass blocker, but he seemed to get back to his previous level of play as last season wore on. If he stumbled again, though, it might warrant moving Guyton back to his college position and going to one of the other options at LT.

I'd like to see how it all plays out before deciding next year if OL is one of our top needs.

We already have nearly $70M ( Parsons, Osa, and Fowlers ), a 1st rounder, 2nd rounder, and 3rd on the DLine. I just don't think it's smart to add a 12th overall pick to the unit when we have positions begging for starters.
Even though I want a true stud DT, I don't see Dallas drafting a DT early due to the money spent on Odighizuwa and Mazi being drafted in the first just two years ago.

I also don't think it's going to work out, at least not in the first round, that a DT is just such a great value that we pass on a greater position of need.

Going by Brugler's draft guide, WR Tetairoa McMillan and WR Matthew Golden are both higher-rated than the second-highest DT (Derrick Harmon). If Dallas' board is similar, then I think they would go with the WR.

Now, there could be a pass rusher (Shemar Stewart is ninth or Mike Green 10th) or LB/pass rusher (Jihaad Campbell 14th) available that's a better value, but I also have trouble believing we'll draft a pass rusher because of Micah's new contract, Fowler being our top free agent signing and having just drafted Kneeland in the second. (Plus, we have another of our second-rounders at the position returning and got another DE in free agency.)

DT and RB. We'd be incredibly stupid not to take a DT in rounds 1 or 2. Or both.

Why? Because that's how you win super bowls. Check out all recent super bowl participants and you'll see they were all strong at DT. So, why are you saying we should put off getting the super bowl keys?

So drafting skill position players will help the defense stop the run? Defense still wins championships. Ask Kansas City.

Truth be told, the Cowboys could load up on skill players and then in a few years we will be saying that talent was wasted thru out the years with nothing to show for it.
As per usual.
I cannot comprehend how so many fans, after watching us lose in the playoffs due to bad DT play, still scream for skill position players. Are they just dense?

My 911 Turbo S has no VW parts! It also sits in the garage most of the time. Too many crazy drivers. My F250 gets driven the most.
I understand that. I had a 1999 Dodge truck I drove most of the time, sold it to a friend. I still have access to it if I need a truck for something. Still runs great.

At the same time, and still have it, is a 2006 Mercedes - Benz SLK. It has everything the AMG has, except the engine. I drive it all the time now, which is not a lot, keep it in the garage. Still looks new. A few minor scratches, and small door ding.
Just under 50,000 miles. Probably 20,000 of those were for road trips to Florida and a few to Ohio.
Will probably go to one or the other in late May or early June.

I have no reason for wanting to get a new car. At this time.

Mingo at 2?.....no
Yeah, I don't get it either tolbert would be a better two than Mingo.. I mean Tolbert sharing Turpin targets that would be a better rotation than Mingo mingo is more like a five right now hopefully he can develop.... I can see him hopefully his ceiling is Noah Brown.. You could teach this kid to get open you know tough catches 50 50 balls you know end zone stuff...
