listening to jerry and stephen today, seems their priority with such players like zeke and dak is their influence in the locker room , not actual production. whenever you start hearing the GM and coaches praises the leadership part much more than production , you know you have a mediocre overpaid player and the franchise is stuck for a while with their contract. Not sure why jerry or stephen can't be honest and put some pressure on the players to produce instead of the constant praise ad naseum .

Jerry Sheet the bed in 2016 and desperately needs Elliott & Dak to win something together in order to justify his Genius Football ability. . . . Dak & Elliott came into the league together and they will leave together.

When Elliott's wheels finally fall off is when Jerry will finally let Dak go as well.

They are both gonna struggle this year . . . It is not gonna be pretty watching the demise of Dak . . . We saw a little preview last year after the playoff game.

I thought some of the media peole asked some good questinos but mostly soft balls as usual , especially the one about why not extend dak already !!! why ?
Plus , Mike Mccarthy seems clueless and milking this. his statement of irritation with the media questions is relvealing . He should have asked himself why his team is most penalized and why he cannot manage the clock etc.
The sad thing is no one at that podium was convincing . And the top stars are overrated already.

For me Micah is the star now. . . Its what I have always wanted . . . A generational talent with the measurables that are tailor made for this NFL.

I think the supporting class they are putting around Him are gonna give the Cowboys a dominant defense . . .

Problem is Hitching the wagon to an aging Zeke may cause Dak to struggle without the Run Support . . . and devoid of Talent at the WR position could spell disaster

What if the Cowboys start 0-2 or worse yet The Commanders are improved and the Boys go 1-4

Will Da k be able to handle that kind of pressure in the press conferences? If last years playoff games press conference is any indication . . . Its gonna be a long year

I know you guys keep telling others one player is not higher than the team, to me that works both ways because you dont like the player your literally wanting him to fail knowing if he fails the team will also fail....just seems pot/Kettle to me.

I went into detail on another thread of how I don't hope for Him to Fail . . . I expect it . . . I use to hope for him to improve and succeed but He hasn't . . . One person I hate is the GM. . . Do you believe that I wish for the Cowboys to Fail just so He would not share in the success.

You are right , this team could either miss the playoff or have another one and out at best. The Defense will be improved with micah and the other talent coached by Quinn. But the offense has many question marks. Other than Cee Dee and Pollard , the remaining parts especially zeke and the againg OL and a mediocre Dak will not be able to beat good competition as we have seen . Plus the Eagles and Commanders are getting better.
Plus McCarthy does not have any poise or command as we can see. it will be a long year and another mediocre output.

agree the defense will outshine the offense and carry this team for the first time in a long time. If the cowboys are 5-5 by thanksgiving it will be not bad as the schedule is brutal . I am projecting 10-7 , and if they win 11 then they would have overchachieved given the existing talent.

Agree. Really looking forward to watching the defense improve and ball out. Watching the offense will be like pulling teeth especially with a limited quarterback but we just have to see how far the D can carry big D

That’s pitiful for his contract.

He needs double digit TD’s, more than 5 ypc, and less than 4 fumbles. Then he’s worth keeping around on a pay cut. He probably need 1400 yards to be considered on his current contract.
