No. Leave that down syndrome coach alone. Hire someone with coaching experience.
For what Jerry wants, he checks more boxes than any other realistic choice. It’s him or McCarthy with the excuse being not wanting an offense Dak isn’t familiar with.

Sadly, this seems obvious to me. It’s Moore or McCarthy. Jerry isn’t to where he is going to throw his hands in the air and hire a real GM/HC and he may never be. One bad season where the convenient excuse of losing the starting QB isn’t going to change a thing.

Would not doubt it one bit.
Would be fun to see all the meltdowns over the off season. More entertaining than the next ALL IN comment.
Right...because kellen Moore was SO good here! Why wouldn;t we want him back.

Oh...jerry's lil boy...why wouldn't we indeed.

the cowboys and jones boys are going beyond stupid.
It is going to be so boring that it isnt even funny! The circus is becoming a low grade carnival !
It keeps getting harder to watch games or follow them.

Jerry is in his own fantasy world, and stephen is trying to figure out how he can steal more cap $.
The NFL needs to make these jokers sell the team.

FYI......according to one nugget at the owner's meeting this week, she was told by one NFL executive MM needs to finish the last four games strong to save his job. She also said Stephen refused to give MM a vote of confidence, saying they will look at the whole pic at the end of the season.

I still believe it was Stephen that was THE lead major influence that led to the decision to depart away from Jason Garrett - (after a freakin' 10 years)

If it was up to Jerry alone, Garrett would have been re-signed and right back here as HC.

while i believe Fish just tends to create " reports" or "sources " for sake of shock value, i could believe the Jones are keeping Kellen Moore name
in their back pocket conversations as possible new HC

- The jones personally know Kellen from his coaching days here
- Kellen had a successful rapport with Dak Prescott
- Dak would be very familar with Kellen's offense, so there'd be no learning curve adjustment for Dak
- Kellen's stock has sky rocketed with the success of Saquon Barkley and Eagles amongst the offensive team leaders of NFL
- In the Jones minds, the pluses may outweigh the minuses

More like duh this was the plan all along! lol
I think the McCarthy returning talk is about the possibility of Philly making a deep run and Moore having better options.

I’d stay in Philly as OC before signing up to work for Jerry’s circus if I’m Moore, but he knows as well as anyone what he would be in for in Dallas.

I’d speculate that if Jerry actually has a choice, he would want Moore over MM. He can boast over Moore being “his guy” and things aren’t about much more than Jerrys ego.

None of it matters if the FO is going to continue to leave gaping holes in the lineup that the better coaches can exploit.

Wait wut? Kellen was the problem when he was here. I read it right here. BTW Kellen already cleared the biggest hurdle. He told Jerry that he would be given credit if they won.

I was looking at all of Jerry's head coaching hires and found an interesting pattern. I may do a thread but for now .........

Other than Jimmy ..........each of his head coaches hired had to split or share one of coordinator positions with him. For example

**Parcell hired his own OC but Jerry talked him into retaining Zimm as his DC
**Wade Phillips hired his own defensive coor ( himself ) but had to hire Jason Garret as his OC
**Jason chose his own defensive coordinator ( Rob Ryan initially) but was forced to hire Montel Kiffin and Rob Martinelli a year later. Jason was also forced to hire Bill Callahan as his OC.
** Mike McCarthy chose his own DC but was forced to keep Kellen Moore as this OC.

This point here is based on Jerry's coaching history/pattern it's very unlikely both Zimm AND MM will be fired. He seems to always keep a coordinator on either side of the ball for continuity. In other words, Jerry has never cleaned house with a new head coach, or new offensive and defensive coordinators from the outside.

Troy claimed this dork would be a HC like 4 years ago. I guess better late than never. It's gonna be a hot race to secure Fat Mike, Kellen, or Zimmer. Decisions, decisions!!!

Why would KM want to come back to this mess? He's with a contender who will remain a contender. All Jerry cares about is staying relevant.
Because he’s seen how fast you can go from being the hot name for head coaching jobs to struggling.

He wasn’t offered a HC job after his last stint here and likely knows he will only get a few chances at it.

Coaches and players don’t view things the same as fans. They can actually make an impact and change things.

100%........while iron is hot
One major injury can kill your chances if you wait another year and have a losing-to-average season.
