Fish: Cowboys QB Change Behind Dak Prescott Means Exploring Top 7 Options

Will Howard is a good runner at the college level, which to me is slightly different than being “mobile” as a QB.

Tom Brady for example couldn’t run at all but he was mobile in that he could escape in the pocket to prolong his ability to pass. Will Howard is a good runner. Not sure about his ability to escape in the pocket.

I like Will Howard as a round 3-4 type pick.
i'll take it!!!!!

Howard reminds me of Josh Allen. Maybe not as talented, to start, but worth a look to develop.
Here is the dilemma.

Good athletic QB's tend to rely on their athletic ability too much. QB's that are not athletic, have to rely on their brain to be successful.

GM's see athletic QB's with the potential to develop their brain and get extremely excited - see Trance.

The problem/reality is that players rarely develop both. If and when they do 5 years later, their athletic ability has significantly diminished.

The sole reason QB's can play into their 40's has zero to do with their athletic ability. Athletic QB's is significantly overrated.

This is why Shanahan wanted to stay put and draft Mac Jones over Trance that Lynch so desperately wanted. Guess who just signed Mac Jones???

Although Howard Is Not Getting a Lot Of Attention and That's Okay But He Is My Pick.

Former Ohio ST/TX QB Quinn Ewers Is a No For Me In The Draft.
And Here's Why:

Hear What Chip Had To Say About Howard..

Chip Kelly,Former Ohio State's offensive coordinator,Now With The Raiders As There OC has compared Will Howard to Josh Allen, highlighting Howard's size and dual-threat capabilities, suggesting Howards adds a dimension to a offense similar to the Buffalo Bills star.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

The Comparison:
Kelly has stated that Will Howard is "probably more [of a] Josh Allen because Of His Size".

Why the Comparison:
Kelly believes Howard's size and dual-threat abilities, including his running speed, make him similar to Allen.

Kelly's Perspective:
He sees Howard as a player who can use his strength to gain extra yards, similar to Allen's style
Howard's Speed:

Kelly noted that Howard ran a 20.1 mph, That's Pretty Fast For That Size Of a QB in a group.

Kelly's high regard To Receiving a comparison to Allen is a huge honor and shows how highly Kelly thinks of Howard.

End

[My Take] Look For Chip Kelly & The Raiders To Make a Push For Will Howard In The Draft.

Jerry & Company Are You Listening?

Not a mistake as Fisher says. This is a great opportunity of the FO does this right.

It may force them to address the QB of the future. They will need to remove their heads form a deep place though.

Draft a QB within the 1st 3 rounds. Do not rely upon Grier.
The other option is to bring Lance back. Give him a real opportunity to win the back up pos.

However we know how this team operates.
I am not sure how anyone could claim losing Rush is a major mistake-that defies logic-he was 4-4 last year

I don't have issue with moving on from Rush. He turned into a solid backup, but I think it would be great if you found someone new to develop that maybe takes over for Dak in the future. Obviously that's a draft pick

"He can challenge the defense, I talked to Former DC Jim Knowles Now With Penn St. When you have somebody who can be a dual threat, that's a really tough thing to defend.

We know how fast Will is. It's not like if he runs, it's a 6-yard gain. If he takes off, it could be a
60-yard gain.

He's had some really big runs in his career so far.
That's just another tool in your toolbox.

Will is probably more [of a] Josh Allen It adds a dimension to your offense."

Size Comparison

Will Howard
Weight: 236 lbs
Height: 6′ 4″

Joshua Allen
Weight: 237 lbs
Height: 6′ 5″

[My Take] folks Give Howard 2 To 3 Years. It [Will] Pay Dividends
