Fish - Cowboys to target Quinn Ewers

Lol,
Wasn’t this the guy who pound the table saying we were going to move up in the 2nd to draft the DT out of Florida who went undrafted spent a couple years on Cleveland’s practice squad and was out of the league.
Why does anyone bother to repost anything he says?
It just gibberish!

Took me a minute, but Marvin Wilson out of FSU is the DT you're thinking of.

He's not an NFL caliber starting QB. But I can see these guys draft him in rd 2. Lol.
Seriously was he that bad at Texas. In the playoffs I thought he made some great plays against Arizona State and Texas. I mean 4 years backing up Dak, I think he might develop into something.

Wow. Drafting Ewers would be controversial
Why?
Been saying in other threads the team plan at QB is starting to look eerily similar to Romo's last couple years. They are married to Dak's contract for two more years but I honestly think they are ready to begin moving on from the player. In other words, Stephen admitted they hope to draft a young QB. Everyone assumed it would be a late rounder but it appears he could be a day-2 guy to serve as Dak's back AND potential replacement.

I liked him. By no means am I a scout. But if we are talking drafting someone in this draft at QB within the first 3 rds, they better be our starter at some point soon. I don't see Ewers being anywhere near better than Dak. I see him being a good back up. I just hope the Jones boys don't use a premium pick on him. I have no issues throwing a dart for a QB just not on him. None of the QBs at the top of the draft are elite. Ward was bad at times, lost games they badly had to have. If I must grab a QB in the draft, Maybe will Howard, or Dillon Gabriel. I know Gabriel gets dinged for his lack of size . He's Russell Wilson like in stature and has good accuracy. I like him. I bet ya Shotty thinks highly of him because he had Russ in Seattle.Keep an eye on this.

Controversial because like Dak and Romo, half the board already hates Ewers. He would fit right in.

I hear you but no quarterback in this draft is gonna be Dak in year one. You develop Ewers and hopefully by year two you think he could lead a franchise.

General Eisenhower announces the day of the Normandy invasion.
Ewers isn't the QB I want but he led the Horns to back to back seasons one game short of a National championship game and beat top ranked teams Alabama and Michigan and OU.
Also he played over half the season with an injury. The Rewards outweigh the risk.

Rather have Kurtis Rourke of Indiana later in the draft. Played through a torn ACL and even had a broken thumb and still completed 69.4% of his passes for 3,042 yards, 29 touchdowns and only five interceptions.

His team's only two losses were to Notre Dame and Ohio State.
would definitely draft him but we would still need a backup QB this season.
