I'm not spending a 1st on Bijan unless the board is gutted, and I'm not touching a long-term Pollard contract after his injury (see Michael Gallup).
Sign a vet like Penny or Singletary for ~$4M a season, and then draft an RB in the mid rounds. You'll get 90% of the production of a healthy Pollard on a big deal, for less than half the cost.
Also, I'm not getting this "Bijan is generational" stuff. Dude doesn't catch nearly as well as he is billed to. He is hyper-athletic as a rusher, but hyper athletic pure rushers are cheap to find. Breece Hall tested out as a 99th percentile athlete last year and went 2nd round. Jonathan Taylor ran a 4.39 at 220 and went 2nd round. Bijan is in those guys' league IMO... he just gets more hype because he went to Texas.
