I would like to think we have covered our bases and have a pretty good idea what the punishment will be. Even if it ends up being 4-6, that should drop the price. We will see.

This, there is no way they are going in this blind.

I like the prudence the FO has shown lately, but this is the one guy that must be signed. If he misses some games, so be it. Just makes for a lower price tag.

@fishsports: BREAKING: sources tell me #Cowboys are negotiating to sign FA defensive end Greg Hardy @1053thefan

Now we are talking. Get Hardy, re-sign Ro, go CB in 1st, DT in 2nd, and RB in 3rd.

I think we could see the Cowboys going in just about any direction if this gets done. This is the one real need I think we have to fill. If not in FA, then probably with multiple picks in the draft. If this gets done, we have the freedom to go in a lot of different directions. Heck, we could go QB if the opportunity presents itself.

Hope this true. Jerry is always giving people second chances and it doesn't hurt that he is a great DE who produces in the past years.

I don't think I would do this. I mean, it really depends on what Hardy's legal team thinks of the situation. I honestly don't see a 6 game suspension. I think the NFL will lose that. However, lets say they don't. Let's say it is 6 games. That's still 10 games and does anybody really think we are not making the playoffs? That's at least another game and probably more, to say nothing of next season. I think the window on Tony is 2 or 3 seasons. He's a guy that will be valuable to this team for more then just 2015 IMO. I'd try to lock him up. I think you run the risk of him simply not considering Dallas as a serious option. IDK, I guess we'll see.

The second year option is all based on performance and conduct. If he plays well and stays out of trouble, the rest of the contract kicks in. If he missed too many games or gets in trouble, the team can walk away. Win, win.

As soon as he is signed, watch Goodell drop the hammer.

Nope. Goodell owes Jerry for putting Michael Sams on the practice squad.

I'm not for the signing. But I'm not abandoning my favorite team if we do sign him. Just keep him away from the crack head women and tell him to hide his guns. And I'm not talking bout the ones between his hands and shoulders.

I'm seeing a probable 6 game suspension next year though...is he worth it, if we only get a little over a half a season next year??

I had conversations regarding Murray if we would be satisfied to let Murray walk but NOT invest on defense. I would have thought that it was cutting off your nose despite your face, and I still feel that way.

This potential makes me very excited and more than justifies the decision.

The rumor is that debt was repaid with Josh Brent.

I don't believe it either way.

Thought for sure they wouldn't go after him. Im glad they changed their minds. Guy is a beast on the field.
