The NFL appealed the Doty ruling so they still think Peterson and Hardy deserve the full 6 games. They will probably give Hardy the 6 to start with and make the NFLPA and the courts overrule them. That let's them maintain the high road.

I'm pretty sure suspensions don't count against the salary cap so the difference will not hurt as bad if they go with 6 games.
