I would too. 4 years younger. more physical, and faster. Swearinger played decent this past season. Got more playing time due to injuries.
He seems to have gotten his penalties under control but still hits like a truck with decent ball skills

Time for the Jeff Heath era to begin.

Wasn't there some rumors the staff were high on Frazier, enough to where they thought he could start next year?

People around the league are much higher on players then the fans are

Most fans do not know how to actually judge a decent football player if they do not have lots of "highlight reel footage" or other people telling them what's good and what's not irrespective of Church's ability/status.

So many fans here see what talking heads say and take that as gospel when in truth. Most talking heads either A) don't know what they are actually talking about or B) didn't really spend enough time to come to a quality conclusion. Like ex-football players who are asked for an opinion on a player they've hardly watched all season. They give an uninformed answer, because they were asked for one. Fan thinks that guy knows what he is talking about because he IS/WAS a good football player.

Lol its true though

What's true? That if we let Church go, we'll take a step back at S?

I saw a video from Greg Cosell who analyzed safeties in FA. He liked Jefferson, McDonald, a couple of other guys over Church. Said Church was your prototypical box safety and has limitations.

That would be our solution in one of the better safety years in the draft.

Yes. Unless they pick up some back were taking a step back

If they sign Jefferson, it would not be a step back.

Shoot, I think if we took someone like Peppers in the draft, he'd be just as effective as Church.

Jefferson is more of a run-stopper than Church is. Church was actually better in coverage than Jefferson was this season.

Not true. Jefferson has improved immensely in pass coverage. As I said above, I watched a video from Greg Cosell on the FA safeties and he liked Jefferson as a much better overall safety than Church.

I think they're close enough it's not a slam dunk that Jefferson is better. Especially in coverage.
