I don't agree...everyone trivializes the rb position, but look how awful the team was without murray

You have a point. But unless they are special then I think we should wait until the 3rd or 4th at least. But you are right. There was a noticeable difference without Murray.

i would be ok with a RB in round 2. Especially if we could grab OL in the 1st.

Not sure Ball is the guy, but i could care less what some draft guide has him listed. Murray was taken in the 3rd, and looking back he should been a 1st or 2nd rounder. You have to trust the team can evaluate the best player for their scheme.

I trust their drafting in rounds 1 and 2. Not sure about after that, they try to get to cute.

I have no problem, in theory, of taking a running back high in the draft. Adrian Peterson was a steal where the Vikings got him. But if you are going to take a running back high (prior to the 4th round) he had better have the speed to take it to the house on any given play or have some truly elite play making ability like E. Smith had.

Ball put up outstanding numbers at Wisky but I think Safety would be the correct option here.

Target running back inthe 3rd round, and trade up if you need to get a certain RB if need be (Taylor, Bell or Ball)

A hint....

No Monte Ball to found in the top 100 and at least 4-5 RBs ahead of him

Not saying it's right or not, but it shows what many others think, that Ball is amore of a 3rd or 4th round prospect.

Like someone said above, Draft Scout likes him better and has him at 62.

GBN Draft report ranks him 72.

In the end though, it always comes down to how each team values the player.

Mike Mayock 52 Montee Ball
Gil Brandt 46 Montee Ball
Mel Kiper 28 Montee Ball

I really like Monte Ball but he has a lot of wear on him.

.........multiple concussions in college including one in a fight which was NOT his fault btw: he got jumped. He's much smaller than guys like L. Bell from MSU and didn't even run the 40 or 10 yd. shuttle times Bell did. The clincher is that Bell had a BAD oline his junior year and Ball had a GOOD oline at WIsky his senior year....and Bell STILL outrushed BALL!this is a no brainer: which means Jerrah will probly take Monte:banghead:

I just can't picture them going RB in the second.

I think its tempting, given Murray's injury history. But he deserves one more year to prove that he can play a whole season.

I love the RBs that are available right now, but I also love the ones that will be available in the 3rd and 4th. I'd prefer to wait until then to get a guy.

I'm thinking Bell, Taylor, Randle type guys.

I want Damontre Moore if he's there.

We may be able to get Swearinger and most likely Phillip Thomas in the 3rd and a back like Leveon Bell.

Or pick Alvin Bailey in the 3rd and a RB in the 4th.

Sign Clabo and our OL and run game will be serious.

Plus we get a starting caliber safety with that premier pass rusher behind Ware and Spencer.

Kiffin knows if he has who he needs on the DL so I'm not worried about DT if he's not right now.

I love Montee Ball. The guy reminds me so much of curtis martin.

Holy crap. Lifelong cowboys fan but when Curtis Martin played he was my favorite running back... I didn't believe you when you said he was like Curtis Martin. Looked up some game footage. That guy is the reincarnation or Curtis Martin. All I can say is WOW. If you're disappointed in this pick if it happens, turn on the highlights. I would prefer to find a better player at a position of need like another onlineman (Warford), a DT, safety (Cyprien), or WR ( dang Justin Hunter looks like a playmaker)... But will be happy with Ball..

Also, Wouldn't mind drafting Barrett Jones at center and shelving him for a year. Guy is a good football player... Just hurt.

I really don't see Phillip Thomas making it out of 2nd, would rather go dl/te in third and save rb for later rounds with more ol..We truly need a safety and I don't want us being patient and letting the playmaking safeties disappear in front of our face
