I think that struggle is half of the war. Although one can be conservative at limiting turnovers, they still happen.

I think that the current team makes season decisions in the final quarters...that set them up to simply, be beaten.

They just don't take it to the other team, and finish games...and that is almost as bad as not showing up for the black n' blue month of December. If the team is not scrappy then, then a rediscussion on the entire staff is in order. Good men don't always finish last, but a scrappy team takes the game at the final gun...period!

I have no doubt Garrett's job is secure right now but what if the team quits on him?? Would it still be secure?? Would that force Jerry to finally give up on his trainee??

I have to respectably disagree. This very situation is where a coach must step up and lead, other coaches have done it, Garrett has not. To lose all 7 games was a complete failure. Garrett was/is a huge part of the problem.
You find a former player or person doing commentary that will agree with you. Its easy for fans to talk like if they could easily coach this team to a win. Thats why alot of players and coaches actually dont like fans. All you guys are going is minimalizing what they do because of the video game generation. You dont lose a player like Romo and dont expect there to be a domino effect. Romo is what makes this offense go. Not the OL, no Dez and his monkey and not the running game. And if Romo isnt there healthy the opposing team will risk things to make plays because he doesnt have his all.

I dont even know why im even trying to debate this topic. Nomatter how much logic anybody throws at you people, you will come up with some excuse or some cliche to throw out there. Im done. go about blaming every coach this team has or gets.

I didn't say they would but with for the most part meaningless games to go, it is not out of the realm of possibility. Even in the 8 - 8 groundhog day seasons we were in it until the last game (even though we should have already had all of those season wrapped up if not for bad game / clock management decisions). The team had a reason to play until the last game. This year is different, everyone pinned the hopes on Romo's return which is now over. If they quit on Garrett and that is a big if, what will Jerry do???????

Who cares if a player quits on a Coach? Just cut the player and move forward. We have a HC who is useless and our criteria is players quitting or not instead of winning Super Bowls. Elway fired Fox for not winning a Super Bowl. Jerry should fire JG and give Romo and Witten a fighting chance to win a Super Bowl with an elite HC. We need to focus on Super Bowl trophies and stop with excuses or reasons on why keep the clown as HC. Bottom line is that JG has failed every year. Next "Head Coach" Up.

This is not Denver and Jerry / Stephen are no John Elway....Broncos organization is focused on Championships....This franchise is like watching the Cleveland Browns every year.....both franchises are stuck so badly in mediocracy that they honestly believe they are on the right path....like an addicted gambler.....one more card, one more game....all we need is just one more....always one more....but... never quit enough.....just enough to make the fans want more.

Cleveland browns fans and Dallas Cowboys fans are some of the most loyal fans out their......but neither Franchises can do much more then hype and hope.

We are not the Browns. We have talent and a Franchise QB. We are missing a HC with a road map to success. Furthermore, Ownership is willing to spend money. Once an elite HC is in place, we will be a perennial powerhouse. We need to get away from "toxic" coaching. You cannot teach "stupid" yet Jerry/Stephen cannot break away from JG. They are addicted to JG and his "process crap". We need to stop this madness and fire him as soon as possible. We need a HC not a "HC in training". This is not Pee Wee Football. This is the NFL.

I agree...jsut like the Browns....the madness continues to repeat itself.....no matter who the coach is....or how much money Jerry spends..... This franchise is not willing to do what must be done....20yrs of trying has only made Jerry Jones richer and the Cowboys are still the same ol' middle of the pack (one good year here and there) team...that is the Cowboys, always one card away from a straight flush....but never getting it....a game of hype and hope.... a great business model but not good football.

Actually both witten and lee have made statements about if you dont care about winning get off the team.
To me this suggests they have players in mind who start who are not trying their best.

I think one is Dez .
I think when they signed Dez to the big money and Then he pulls hamstring dunking balls over goal post, then shows up for game
one not hydrated, then hurts his foot, and now is back but dropping passes , it would irritate the other players.

Murray was well liked, so when he wasnt paid, and left, no one thought about how that affected the other players, like the OL guys etc.
And then they keep goofy dez and pay him 13 mil a year, and so far have got nothing for that 13 mil.

But that is my speculation, but for them to say that, they have someone or maybe more than one player in mind.
And they would like to get rid of that or those players.

So ur saying Dez quit from the time he got paid? And why is Murray even mentioned? He quit on philly or what? Seriously the only people i see quitting on this team are fans.

I mention murray because I think many players may have felt it was stupid and detrimental to the team and goal of
going to SB to not resign him.
If some fans think it was stupid then some of the players could feell the same way.

Dez felt disrespected and after the long fight with jones boys they gave in. So after being insulted, and betrayed , they then give in.
So how this affects dez is complicated.
but it all led to him not being ready to play game one and he gets dehydrated hurts foot due to that, and then sits out more games.

I dont think dez quit, just is relaxed and not caring much. He gets paid win or lose.
He may come around later or next year or he may not.

Fans dont quit on the team they quit on owners and coaches, and sometimes certain players.

So bring Murray back for 40something mil?

Darren McFadden 169 carries 649 yrds 2 td 37 rec 257 yrds
Demarco Murray 155 carries 545 yrds 39 rec 295 yrds

Same production for 8mil cheaper a yr.

You don't say!

Was there really anyone who thought, for even a second, that Jason Garrett's job was in jeopardy? I mean, really?

Jerry also siad Wade was safe a week or two before he let him go so there is hope.

Phillips was not in the family portrait, but more especially owed millions on a four year deal.

That reminds me, have you ever heard the story about the time Jerry Jones got his credit cards cut up at Love Field?

Nothing is going to change. The injury excuse saves everybody.

Not sure about everybody. I could see Pollack, Henderson or Dooley get taken to the Jones woodshed to appease the masses.

I would have Wilson's head on a stick by now, but he is not going anywhere. He's basically like family he is such a lifer.
