News: Fisher: NFL says Ezekiel Elliott playing this week regardless of Henderson ruling

I'd love to be a fly on the wall of the judge if after this hearing the NFL then suspended Elliott for this weekend after admitting he would be eligible.

Lying to a federal judge under oath? I don't think they're that dumb.

Since the nfl says he can play this week he may just table that decision until next week for a hearing. I'm no lawyer but that's what others I've read are thinking is a possibility.

But if Henderson now rules for the suspension and NFL files countersuit in NY before judge rules on NFLPA's case, trial may be held before the judge in NY the NFL chose (who approved Brady's 4 game suspension) and the appeal would before the court that supported it. This seems to be the NFL's strategy.

I'd like to hear other opinions on this.

FWIW, Fisher is now hedging his bets on Elliott playing this weekend. He's now sayin the NFL could still do what they want, pointing out the NFL told the Cowboys Gregory was eligible to play late last year then changed their minds at the last second.

They didn't tell a federal judge. Fisher ain't so bright.
