That’s not true. He is free to leave his contract with the Rams for a promotion. The NFL recognizes two kinds of coaches. Head coach, and everyone else is considered an assistant coach. Giving a coach that currently does not call plays the responsibility to call plays is not considered a promotion by the League. The Rams might release him for compensation. What would you suggest Jerry give the Rams for him?

Yikes. This would be disastrous and would be no different than when we had Jason Garrett/Kellen Moore. Witten has zero NFL coaching experience at all.

The only positive for me with saleh if it’s serious interest, is that they are doing an interview with someone outside of the Jerry bubble, who at least is respected as a coordinator and isn’t from inside the country club

I really don’t want him but if the other choices are Kellen, Zimmer and Witten….give me Saleh. At least, he isn’t part of Jerry’s circus. I know there are much better hires but they aren’t going to be considered.
