LOL i knew this wouldnt get much reply. This would only further crack the whole Dallas only offered poor Dez a 5million dollar bonus. People need to start reading into this team and realize this is one of the last loyal and honest front offices left in sports.

I never bought that for a second. No matter what "concerns" they might have about Dez, there's no way they offered him something that low.

Agree, Now i think they probably offered him the 10mil SB, And had Roster bonuses and guaranteed salary that added more. Theres something that just screams of Dez needing that high SB.

He has been supporting his whole family, and has tons of friends around him and lives a very materialistic lifestyle. It wouldnt suprise me if he has some debt by now.

dez is going to the colts.
Theyve got a rediculous amount of cap space and could do with a wr like dez catching passes from luck.
Them giving up 2 late 1sts will be worth it in there eyes for a top 5 wr in the league.
Better start looking at what wide receivers are available in rounds 2 and 3

I'm not a numbers guy but Dez is worth 15-17 Mill per, at least for another 5 seasons...

Hey I think it's crazy paying any of them 5 Mill per but that's the market..

Who other than CJ whos contract was done in 2012 is making that much money? Think Fitz set the market a couple weeks ago around 11mil. 9-13mil IMO is going to be the the price of this yr's WR. and i only see Dez and DT to be at or around the 13mil mark.

JJ Watt and Mario Williams make that much money, the 15-17 mill range.

Also the top 4 corners make 13-16 million a year.

There a multiple pass rushers who make approximately 14 mill a year.

No, but you said no one other QB/LT should be paid in the 15-17 million range. I find it funny because A) NFL teams disagree and B) the highest paid LT (yours truly, Tyron Smith) banks 12.2 million annually.

So maybe this is the old way of thinking?

If you are a transcendent talent who plays in the upper echelon of a skill position, you can expect to be paid.

23 players are scheduled to make 15mil or over. 13 of them are QBs

5 are being asked to take a pay cut or being released.

@Jenky

Dez Bryant 2010-2014
381 rec 5424 yrds 56 tds

Jordy Nelson 2010-2014
345 rec 5423 yrds 45 tds

Very comparable numbers.

Nelson makes 9.7mil a yr, he is 2 yrs older then Dez. So naturally he would get more because NFL pays for youth, Id say 12-13mil a yr for Dez is pretty fair. Thats basically what Dallas was offering. The thing that wasnt liked by Dez was the Guaranteed money. I dont see how people think that more Guranteed money is going to equal 15-17mil a yr. The range of Dez contract will be between 12-13mil a yr, the only thing not known is the amount of guranteed money.

1. Apparently, word is Dez just met his agent for the first time in person a couple of weeks ago.

2. Roc-Nation gives bad advice and has its own ulterior motives.

Those are the problems. This should have been done already.

Dez agent has been tom condon for football, he's met with Condon. I think you mean Kimberly Miale who is handling Dez Bryants endorsement deals thru Roc Nation

There's CJ and there's Dez, those two are in their own class of go up and get it.. Fitz got a big contract that first time around currently he's on his third at a reduced rate. Different scenario..

Roc Nation got Robbie Cano 240m from the Seattle Mariners who out bid the hometown Yankees.

They are business people and their job to look after their clients interest, not the teams.

They are just like every other agent in the NFL.

I would not mind this scenario at all
