Morgan Burnett, FS
Height: 6-2 | Weight: 209 | College: Georgia Tech
You could make Nate Allen and Morgan Burnett 1a and 1b. Before the draft it was said that the Cowboys have the same grade on Taylor Mays, Morgan Burnett and Nate Allen. This leads me believe they'd be happy with any of the tree at this point. Mays still being available in the 2nd is good news for us, since it gives other teams one additional option at safety and pushes the other two down.
Vladimir Ducasse, OT
Height: 6-5 | Weight: 332 | College: Massachusetts
Saffold would be on this list but he will be gone pretty early in the 2nd, and I don't know that we are willing to sell the rest of the draft short to move up unless the price is ideal or we see Saffold slip. Ducasse to me is a RT more than a LT, so he has a real chance to be an option and we may give him a shot at LT anyway or plug him in at LG.
Sean Lee, ILB
Height: 6-2 | Weight: 236 | College: Penn State
Sean Lee's is Rick Rosselin's 38th best player overall, and after seeing what Brookings has done for our defense the Cowboys may be interested in keeping the moment going with a heady hustle player next to Bradie James.
John Jerry, OT/OG
Height: 6-6 | Weight: 328 | College: Mississippi
We missed out on Iupati but I think John Jerry is similar in terms of raw ability, and could be available to us at some point in the 3rd or even late 2nd. He comes in to play LG for us and is starting by next year. Brewster is set to take over for Columbo but if that doesn't pan out, then we move Jerry to RT.
Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, CB
Height: 6-0 | Weight: 207 | College: Indiana (PA)
AOA has been the talk of the forum for some time, and the Cowboys have shown interest. He comes in and makes the move to FS if the other three guys we like are gone. He's fast, has a nose for the ball and is a dangerous returner that makes Crayton even more expendable.
What're your five?
