I had Flacco on a list in reply to a thread regarding the top 5 current QBs and was lambasted for it a month ago. Does anyone still think Flacco is just an average run of the mill QB?

Flacco protects the ball. Perhaps he should teach that skill to our 67 million dollar man.

he's a bus-driver at this point

although he has the physical skills and intangibles to be a franchise signal-caller one day

On cue...

Baltimore is winning the same way they won it all in 2000...and it has nothing to do with the QB other than letting him throw high percentage passes and the occassional deep ball.

So far, yeah, Flacco > Romo. He has actually won not one, but two playoff games.

He doesn't give the defense "punts" for cheap and easy points.

One day, perhaps.

But Baltimore does a terrific job at protectin Flacco with a strong running game and an experienced OC

Garrett needs to learn to do that.

Everybody is better than Romo. Don't believe it? Ask a bunch of posters at the Cowboys Zone. They'll tell ya.

You're comparing apples to a double cheesburger.

Is Trent Dilfer better than Peyton Manning? Dilfer threw less picks, and advanced in the playoffs before Manning ever did.

I don't necessarily think it. I'm just interested in what others think. One can argue that Flacco is a very good rookie "bus driver".

A guy drives a bus in a safe manner and eludes breaking any laws while another guy drives a bus weaving all over the place hopping curbs and knocking over bus stops along the way.

Which guy would you prefer to have driving your bus?

Flacco is a non-game changing QB, a team will never succeed or fail based on his performance. Some people may want that, but I am not one of them.
