Flex Thursday games?

It’s bad enough we have to wait so long between seasons. I’ll take whatever they give me. If you're just dying to get rid of the something to make ya feel better, get rid of the hideous, color rush crap!

And after the season ends, even for those boycotting watching games...how long before the say...man, I wish the season would start, too long of a wait....

Its a good idea. Better to abolish Thursday night games altogether. They are injury drivers and it seems most fans don't even want them. Its a certainty the players don't want to play them. I could understand a Saturday night game at least that makes some physical sense. I never understood a Thursday night game.

I don't buy into they injury issues being a factor of TNF. Yes less recovery time, but is that the factor. I don't really think so.
Has anyone done a study that relates the 2. And if so, how accurate would it be, and how bias or unbiased. Does it come from Goodell or an independent person, hired by Goodell. :muttley:

Here's my idea...

Thursday Night Football Games should be played between teams coming off of bye weeks. Coaches would be OK with it because it avoids the issue of short rest, and they would in essence have two mini-bye weeks (11 days before, 10 days rest after).

Continue with 3 Thanksgiving teams. Those 6 teams get the bye week the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Now the league can't schedule Dallas to play on Sunday Night before Thanksgiving again!

That's a brilliant idea, which is why there is absolutely zero chance the NFL will adopt this plan.

I have read reports that say the injury issue is bogus. There are no more injuries in Thursday games than in any other games.

The issue is there need to be better games on Thursday. You can pick the stinkers out as soon as you get the schedule.

Yeah...that would make NFL players hate the league even more. They already hate Thursday games but now they have to play them on short notice? :omg:

TNF already gets the pick of one of the better matchups of the week. I think the selection ranking is SNF, CBS/FOX afternoon game, MNF, and then TNF. It's a worse matchup this week because I bet the Saturday games may have had priority over it too.

The Cowboys’ color rush uniforms are our best-looking uniforms.

*ducks*

I just bought a dozen large eggs. Just need an address.

Seriously, when I was a kid, I probably would have thought so. Now I’m that old guy (if 43 come Dec. 19th is old) yelling at kids to get off his lawn.

I love tradition. I love what I grew up with. Now I don’t mind our color rush jerseys, but the pants lick the bag! Bag the white socks too.

What we should do is go back to the socks with the silver stripes. Those ended after our 92 Super Bowl.

The game tonight is not a good one, and I wondered if
they could flex Thur games.
If so they should have done this one.
Many other games more meaningful.

This is actually perfect.

Important games should not occur on 4 days rest. These Thursday games are always ugly because teams are not prepared physically or mentally to play them.

They need to get rid of Thursday games altogether, and start scheduling bye weeks for all teams playing on Thanksgiving the weekend before.

It’s a good idea, but it’s also likely a schedule impossibity. I doubt anyone would be happy with having a week 2 or week 3 bye either.

Given the logistics involved that would probably difficult unless done well in advance. I doubt TV networks would be crazy about the idea, either. Not to mention fans of the road team who made travel plans would be royally screwed.

But yeah, tonight's game is pretty sad.
You would need to do it way in advance. Don’t really see a practical way to do it
Thursday games other than thanksgiving need to go away

I realize it is too hard to do logistically, but tonight's matchup is one of the worst I can recall.

I do like the old school Bronco logos on the helmet.

Reminds me of Randy White and Harvey Martin crushing Craig Morton.

I think Thursday night games should no longer exist! Just on Thanksgiving...and have more Saturday games towards the end of the year!

I remember the old days there used to be two games on the last two Saturdays of the season after college was over.

I have advocated this around here for the last 2 years. Usually it's ignored. It is a good idea.

As for flexing, you can flex games back to Sunday, but not the other way around. No coach, when he expecting a regular week of practice, would be in favor of being flexed into a short week.

Is anyone watching the game?? I'm surprised there isn't a thread ongoing about it...

I mean I understand the game totally sucks but the new camera work at least deserves some discussion

Camera work is about the only thing they could sell with this horrific matchup.

It reminds me of playing Madden. Quite fascinating watching blocks develop from the back view... gives you a greater appreciation for how difficult an OLineman's job is
