i've said it before and i'll say it again..... McQ's claim to fame is that BP thought he had a future. The same BP who thought Rogers, Peterman, Young, Rivera, etc. had futures. For all of BP's talents, evaluating O-lineman was not one of them. McQ was a 7th rounder for a reason. Maybe he pans out but at this point having him protect Romo's backside would be suicide.
Not for nothing, but Gurode, Allen and Adams all looked like complete trash in 2002. A lot of other coaches would've blown up the whole thing and gotten rid of some guys who have actually been players for us.
Parcells made the choice to slap the tag on Flozell and keep him, when almost everybody else in Dallas was calling him a bum (because we don't know the difference between a guy who can't play and a guy who
can play but just isn't a Hall of Famer). He's been to Hawaii multiple times since then as one of the best tackles in the NFC.
Take away our Pro Bowl caliber left tackle from the 2003 and 2006 teams, and we don't sniff the playoffs. And give back the 10 games he missed in 2005 and we'd have strolled into a playoff berth that year too.
Keeping Adams onboard was probably the best thing Parcells did for us his whole time here, unless Romo's career rebounds after his chokejob late last season. And if whiffing on a couple of 2nd round draft picks (Rogers, Johnson) ends up being the worst he did for us, then that ain't bad at all.
