He could, but then again he could be out this training camp because of his back. It's the risk you take. San Diego was willing to take it. If it pays off, good for them. If it doesn't, oh well. Most teams weren't willing to take the risk -- it's as simple as that.
The draft is nothing but risks; granted some risks are bigger than others but sometimes you've just got to have the heart to take that chance. Fasano's upside v.s. McNeil's upside: play it safe or go for broke? Oh well, water under the bridge.....

So you agree, if he's not making ridiculous contract demands, you want him back? Do you want to leave it to Fabini or risk it on the draft. I saw Rogers and I don't want that to happen if it doesn't have to. That's why I want Colombo.

Fabini wont be here

but within reason, absolutely would love to see Columbo back...if not, wont shed any tears

BP never complimented Pettiti like he did McQ. And McQ got a LOT of interest from other teams- that is why BP did not dare try and put him on the practice squad.

McNeill was a gamble due to his medical condition; after the mess with Rogers- this board would have gone nuts with picking McNeill. Especially if he never made it through camp. McNeill could play 10 years- or be gone in 10 games. It was a gamble a whole lot of teams were not willing to make. ANd it will not be known for a few years if it was worth it for SD.

Not to mention he has a clone holding his own in Oakland.

In one respect I wish we had gotten his brother- but on the other hand having two guys that did not just get hit with the UGLY STICK, but the WHOLE FORREST, would be kind of frightening.

McQuistan hasn't shown anything yet for us beyond his play in practice. We do know from Parcells that several other teams (including a few former players of his) contacted Parcells enough to discuss McQuistan's play in preseason games that Parcells had no option but to keep him on the team instead of moving him to the PS for development. At that time Parcells says McQuistan was a year behind his brother (our McQuistan played 1-2 less college years then his twin brother whose the starting OG for Raiders). Of course knowing Parcells he made sure McQuistan made up that 1 year real fast. Since our practices and last year's preseason games were filmed & Sparano knows all about McQuistan, Garrett & rest of offense will have ample opportunity to study/teach McQuistan. Only time will tell if we got ourselves a quality starter LT in the NFL. Parcells made it clear he thought so.

Keeping Adams onboard was probably the best thing Parcells did for us his whole time here, unless Romo's career rebounds after his chokejob late last season. And if whiffing on a couple of 2nd round draft picks (Rogers, Johnson) ends up being the worst he did for us, then that ain't bad at all.
There's more to Romo's "chokejob" than Romo (both lines, for instance, and quite possibly scheme). This season should give us a clearer picture of the QB situation.

Nice generalization, there.

That's exactly my point, sometimes you've just got to have the guts to take that chance for greatness! Draft scared because drafting Rogers blew up in our face?! That's like Romo playing scared because he threw an interception or because of that dropped point after try; hope that DOES NOT happen! Rogers was a bust yeah so grieve, cry, and MOVE on. Shouldn't have stopped us from tryin' to hit big w/ McNeil. Oh well, like I said, water under the bridge.....
