Yeah, because that sort of thing isn't damaging at all to a person's psyche.

Then move out of the house like an adult. He is 17. We don't know if these parents were bad or not we do know this kid killed them with a hammer to throw a party at the house.

You're implying that an abused kid can think "like an adult". That's the whole point....it damages your psyche when the two people in the world who are supposed to love and nurture you, abuse you. It's not normal. So don't expect normal behavior.

Well then you lost that case.

You are already blaming the parents.

People like you are why people like this get away with murder.

You’re assuming he was abused. I think blaming mommy and daddy all the time is a crook some time it is the kids fault. For all we know he may have been spoiled and when told no about having a party committed this act.

There are many kids who had it rough that does not justify killing.

So what music do you play at the party you host just after having killed your parents?

EDIT: I see nyc already got the party started.

No and no.

I asked you if you really thought that kids in good situations kill their parents over the right to party. That's all I asked. I didn't blame the parents. I don't know anything about this case other than what's in the article.

And Doomsday, if you follow the history of what you quoted me on, you'll notice that I was referring to abuse damaging a kid's psyche. I wasn't talking about this kid specifically. So don't put words into my mouth.

And I never said killing is justified. What I said was that you shouldn't expect normal results from an abnormal upbringing.

Not trying to put words in anyone mouth but I do know that anytime a kid commits a crime so called abuse that can't even be proven makes its way into the court. Like the Mendez bothers Daddy was strict with us yet they find the parents shot to death and the mother has his signed enrollment to UCLA in her dead hands. Same with Anthony case they stand up and say how dad sexually abused her yet never proved anything close to that.

Lastly yes there are kids who have been abused or neglected but that does not make you a killer.

Joseph Lyle Menendez (born January 10, 1968) and Erik Galen Menendez (born November 27, 1970) are brothers who are known for their conviction in a highly publicized trial for the shotgun murders in 1989 of their wealthy parents, entertainment executive Jose Menendez and his wife Mary "Kitty" Menendez (née Anderson), residents of Beverly Hills, California. Under the terms of the sentences for their multiple crimes, the brothers are expected to spend the remainder of their lives in prison.

As for Casey Anthony, do you think she was just born to kill her baby?

I think she was a spoiled adult who committed an cruel act. Are we to blame the parents for every person in prison? Do the parents get the cop out saying they were bad parents because their parents were also bad? I think it becomes a cheap cop out used by damn near every attorney to justify bad behavior.

We're talking about murder here, taking another human being's life, not the crimes committed by every person in prison.
If you think people from stable upbringings and strong families kill people all the time, I'd like you to state some examples.

Yes we are talking murder and he killed them, at 17 if you don't like how you are treated you leave. I think blaming everyone but the person who did the crime becomes a cop out in many cases. He was not fearing for his life he wanted to party and evidently the only thing keeping him from having the party was his parents.

Sorry yes I think there are bad people in this world who do not give a damn about anyone but themselves and will do anything to get what they want including killing another person.

In the end, all those things about her being molested isn't what kept Anthony out of prison. It was the fact they could not prove cause of death that kept her from being found guilty. Sure lawyers can use that cheap cop out, but it doesn't mean it is going to work. As has been pointed out, it didn't work with the Menedez boys since they are in prison.

I understand that is not what kept her out of prison but it is the mindset people use on a regular bases now days and Lawyers know it and use it even if it does not exist
