In the end, all those things about her being molested isn't what kept Anthony out of prison. It was the fact they could not prove cause of death that kept her from being found guilty. Sure lawyers can use that cheap cop out, but it doesn't mean it is going to work. As has been pointed out, it didn't work with the Menedez boys since they are in prison.

Bingo. No one is saying it's ok to kill people. I'm just saying I'm never surprised when I hear that the family life was unstable, or the kid was abused by a family member, neglected by his parents, etc. Don't expect normal behavior from people with abnormal upbringings.

The kid could be Bi-Polar. The first phases are commonly written off as simple depression, so the signs might have been overlooked. The Manic phases usually start to occur around the age of eighteen in males. If you mix that with any type of substance abuse, then going off the deep end is possible. Not common obviously, but possible.

Absolutely.

The 17-year-old boy who brutally and mercilessly killed his parents before having a house party while their bodies were still inside a bedroom confessed to his best friend, told him he was possessed by the devil and had taken three ecstasy tablets before the murders.

Tyler Hadley, of Port St Lucie, Florida, also allegedly told Michael Mandell that he did it because of a combination of rap music, constant arguments with his parents and the fact they had financial problems.

Wow ....... he is going retro with his excuse.

Surprised he did not blame Ozzy or the Beatles.

:hammer:

Mandell, also 17, said Hadley admitted that he had taken the ecstasy pills, thought "the devil possessed him" and planned on committing suicide.

But he had a party instead.

Good, committing suicide is such a selfish act that hurts those around him.

Evidently him being in the same room can harm those around him.

I would be interested in reading any similar case studies of bi-polar sufferers committing assault or murder and then celebrating afterwards.
