Has this been discussed?

Maybe he can become a newborn like Lenard Davis

We already have a good LG....Kosier. We need someone to step behind Flozell in case he gets hurt again.

He's not a great run blocker.

Really? I must have been hallucinating when I've seen him drive block people to the turf time and time again or seal the edge an equal number of times.

Why? He is a pro bowl level tackle. What the hell is wrong with you people. Ever heard of the term, if it's not broken DON'T FIX IT. Who do you want to play ****ing tackle? McQuistan? :bang2:

Because making the Pro Bowl and being worthy of it are two different things. I would have no issue moving him inside away from the speed rushers if and only if Dallas can come up with a tackle who can do the job. Flo constant jumping off sides and his troubles of picking up faster outside rushers was costly to Dallas this past season.

Check his age. Flozell's nearing the end no matter where he plays.

:hammer: It's either time to draft one high, or find a young up and comer.

I agree and given the contract he has I would like to get the most out of him as he finishes his career. Flo knows the position and has played it. Some added beef up the middle would in my view be a big help

Flozell even false starts in the Pro Bowl.

If nothing, he's consistent. ;)

While some talk about getting some of these other skilled position FA I would much rather invest in a tackle. I think a lot of our problems on offense can be traced right back to the O-line struggles we had.

True, I did not watch the game until late in the game. 1st play I see when I tune in was none other than Flo with a false start. :laugh2:

Don't be shocked if Holland starts over Kosier next year.

When Holland played he was pretty solid and he can get a lot better movement on his man than Kyle Kosier.

Flozell Adams is one of the top-10 LTs in the NFL. If we can happen to find a guy better than him I would love to replace Flo but until then let's not screw around with that position.

Adams has always had a problem with false starts, mostly due to his being deaf in his right ear. Why they kept him at LT is a question but I think it is because he was STILL better than anyone else we had for that spot.

The guy is a great run blocker, so I don't know where the perception came from that he wasn't. He is also very good in pass protection. Yes he gets beat at times by quicker pass rushers but so has every other LT in NFL History. Great pass rushers can beat even the best LT at times. It's not like they have a free run at the QB on every down either. Adams is a lot better than some fans think because they want perfection and it isn't possible at this level.

Flo also struggled this year with a number of injuries but we didn't have anyone good enough to fill in for him. I wish Free or McQuistan were better than Flo when he is not 100% so that they could have stepped in last year but they aren't. Playing next to a scrub like Procter for most of the year hurt him as well as he could never be sure who Procter would pick up on a blitz. That little hesitation is all a good pass rusher needs.

This is something we will need to address after 2009 for sure.

Flo has consistantly dominated ALL pass rusher except last year when he had the arm / shoulder injury. He has shutdown the best of the best in this league. I'm guessing you mean he has false starts as offensive lineman don't get offsides. Being deaf in one ear is only a partial excuse for that. It still should never happen.

Not looking for perfection just better. I don't think he is going to progress if anything at his age I think he will start to drop off even more. If Dallas has the oppertunity to get a top FA OT then I would do so, if not then you stay with Flo.

Dominated? This has not been the 1st year Flo has had issue with picking up speed rushers and yes the offsides is hurting as playes are being brought back only to regain the yards we just lost and it happens every single game. As for being deaf I'm sorry but I'm sick and tired of seeing him jump offside regardless of the excuses it has to stop.

And while we are at it, how about Procter to LT?

Not a pretty picture....

And that's the problem. It has been the problem for several years now.

Adams could be better, but it isn't like the Cowboys have anybody better than Adams at LT.

I'm not saying we have the replacement on the team right now but instead of all the hollering about getting a FA high priced WR or other skill position I think it is in the better interest to get a quality OT. I think many of the problems started at the line of scrimmage, when I see other QB's getting the time to find not 1 or 2 option but 3 option and then see Romo running for his life I know that has to change. We get after Romo because of the turnovers yet most turnovers happen when the QB is under extream pressure from the defense Romo is no different.
