Flozell Adams' Injury

Why are so many of you bashing a player who couldn't play due to injury? Noone even knows the extent of the injury, yet you question the player???? As FL said, a player who has missed only 14 games in 10+ seasons and has played hurt many times in his career. This critisism is ridiculous. It baffles me how much crap Flozell gets on this board. The guy played with ONE ARM for most of last season and now you're questioning his toughness? Absurd.

If "Mr Toughness" himself Marc Columbo didn't get undressed by Ray Edwards maybe the offense would've had a chance to score on some of those early drives.

Age and injury have caught up with him. Time to draft his replacement. this OL always breaks down by the end of the season and Flozell Adamas is a big factor in that. He'll give you about 3/4 of season. If we draft smart, that will be right around the time his replacemet will be readt to take ovewr his spot.

Yeah he was awful at the end of the season in back to back games vs Trent Cole.

Let's get rid of Flozell... :lmao2:

Did any of you see what that line looked like without him?

Flozell is the last person we can afford to let go at this point

Offense looked the same with him as it did with out.

Nothing against Flozell. I think he must come back for one more year but at the same time I think Dallas must find his replacement this season.

No, it didnt.

Sure it did....

Matter of opinion. I think Free did fine for being thrown into a playoff game against one of the best pass rushers in the game at a position he has not played this season.

Other than a few spurts of penalties, Flozell played very well this year. That said, we need to start grooming his replacement as he isn't getting any younger.

Maybe you should go look at the drive charts of the first quarter, and compare those to after Adams went out of the game then.

Our first 3 drives went 9 plays, 7 plays and 13 plays.

After that, the longest drive we had the REST of the game was 7 plays (once). We had 3 three and outs, a 2 play drive that ended in a fumble (first series Adams missed) and 3 four play drives to end the game.

The problem I have with Flozel's injury is that he didnt really look that injured. He was either sitting by himself on the bench or he was up walking around on the sideline, again by himself.

I think they probably told him he was done for the game. He could have gone into the back, gotten on a cart and be wheeled out of there during the biggest game of the season, but he decided to stay out there.

There wasn't much to cheer for.

So you wanted Flozell on one leg to come back in and try and block Jared Allen? Nice

I am shocked at the folks bashing Flozell Adams.

This recent Playoff Game should have proved that he is still a good player and how disastrous it is when he goes down.

I believe his value to the team rose after his Playoff Game.

The Hotel was controlling Allen. We could then have put Free in to replace the one legged Colombo. Might have made a big difference, maybe not. But that is the way it goes. The whole O line was not playing well anyway, so it might not have really done anything except make the game a little closer.

There were no trainers attending to him, there was no cart brought out to take him into the training room, he was just either sitting or standing there by himself watching Romo get killed play after play after play.

Like many have said, Columbo was out there basically on 1 leg trying his hardest and yes, he was getting owned. But at least he showed enough heart and enough balls to get out there hurt and try to help his QB. I respect that and give Coloumbo alot props for trying his best to help the team.

I didnt see the same level of commitment from Flozel. I saw a guy that pulled a muscle and watched the rest of the game from the sideline. Maybe going back in wouldnt have mattered, maybo Flo would have gotten owned like Colombo did, but at least he would have tried and I could have respected that alot more than just sittting on your arse watching your QB get killed every play.

My .02

It is always funny (and sad) when armchair athletes question the injuries and the ability of professional athletes to perform with said injuries.

Exactly.

There has been NO indication from his career that he would not been out there playing if AT ALL POSSIBLE. It is pathetic that any of you would question his toughness after the last few seasons and the injuries he has played through.

Also if I remember correctly, when he was playing with one arm and still doing a decent job, a lot of you were calling for his replacement.

I had a severe left calf strain/pull/whatever in October of last year. I could barely walk for 3 days, much less play football. I weight 220 lbs, and Flo weighs around 330 lbs. If he had anything like I had, it would have been IMPOSSIBLE for him to run, much less play LT in an NFL game. Some of you guys are just simply brainless.

Dudes, it was the entire line struggling!

Speed rushing the outsides

Stunting ****ups in the middle

Even fake zone dropback by Williams, then barrelling up the middle untouched

Unbelievable, so don't try and hang it on one player.

Now let me get back to my 6 month drought of no Cowboy football.

The OP asked about Flozell's injury. While I see much ranting....I see no information. Any updates?
