I can't wait to hear all of the "experts" who were talking about how much we would rue losing Adams. :lmao2:

Do you really think you will hear any of the experts fess up? They will just change the story line.

Was it right guard or right tackle? Either way, it is an adjustment. Plus he has to learn a new scheme. He is not going to learn all those things overnight.

Dallas did not cut Flozell due to performance. It was a combination of his performance and his cost. Dallas would have probably kept him around if they could have done so at the rate Pittsburgh is paying him, which was not going to happen.

He played right tackle. It is understandable he'd struggle doing that for the first time since he was a rookie. Cliff Avril whipped him badly on one sack where he simply was too slow out of his stance and Avril sped around him.

While I am sure it makes people feel better he's struggling, I'd still have liked to have had him battle it out for the left tackle job with Free. But instead of doing so, he was let go.

The main point for me has nothing to do with how Flozell is playing or will play this year. It has everything to do with the experts, such as Jamie Dukes, predicting Free will be a disaster. I reiterate; I don't think you will ever hear most, if any, of them fess up to being wrong.

Watching the game on NFL Network the other night I felt bad for Flo. He really struggled at RT in that game. It's probably going to be a very long year for him.

Knowing Flo he probably sat on his arse all offseason.

I don't think Dallas would have kept him around, even with a low paycheck, because the Cowboys didn't want to keep him as the starter. It would be nice to believe that Adams would have accepted a backup role, but that's doubtful, and I don't think Jones even wanted to ask him to do that.

This is definately not hindsight as I thought he should have been cut a year ago...guy is washed up and JJ did the right thing by letting him go.

Nate Newton & Galloway were just saying yesterday that it was a mistake to cut him.

I still love Nate but one thing I have noticed about him is he doubts and finds fault with every Cowboy player till they have proven themselves. He tend to also get caught up in the media hype. He was dissing Free's performance in the Vikings game and had nothing to say about Colombo.

Since then I have taken what he says about our team good or bad with a grain of salt.

I think you're more determined for Flozell to do well than he is. :laugh2:

Of course not. Most of these blow hards go on outrageous rants then when they're proven wrong you never hear another peep out of them.

But if they are proven right they are quick to pull out the 'I told you sos'.

If they cut Flozell a year ago, Dallas would not have made the playoffs in 2009.
