Yes, the Giants and Bears reaching doesn't make our reach any less of a reach

I trust the Giants' and Bears' boards more than Mayock's.

frederick would have been gone ealry 2nd if not at 32 to the Ravens. Jerry could have taken Justin Hunter who ESPN has ranked 24th and people would have been mad about that too, and the same people would have been yelling, "Jerry never takes OL in the first."

Now he does what most people on here wanted him to do and draft a OL in the first and he gets bashed, lose lose with some people.
Agreed.

There was a run on offensive linemen. We needed to upgrade offensive line drastically, and didn't want to risk him being gone.

It is what it is. We couldn't come out of the first round with all the 1st-2nd round graded linemen gone.

That's my thinking too. I'd guess they probably had originally hoped to have a shot at him at 47. Then the top five OL go by pick 10, Fluker early, Pugh early, Long early. They probably made the decision that if they liked Frederick, they couldn't wait until 47.

I don't have a problem with taking your guy half a round early if you believe in him. They'd just better prove to be right on this one.
