They are prisoners of the moment and most of the time they are prisoners of their own design.
Perhaps, the most succinct and on point encapsulation of their management approach.
They are prisoners of the moment and most of the time they are prisoners of their own design.
And if they miss a FG against the lowly Lions they are 2-5.
Plus, even if they won the Texans and Skins games, are you arguing that this team is as good as the Rams? LOL.
The players never get the blame for failure.Yesterday's trade really just encapsulated how fickle and rudderless our front office is.
We over value mid-round picks, hoarding them like they're gold bullion (couldn't give up a 4th for Josh Gordan...2nd rounder for Earl Thomas?), but then turn around surrender a 1st rounder like it's a throw in.
Your own collective hubris thought it would be a great idea to go WR by committee with a group of receivers comprised of an undersized slot, career KR, middling talent, and a raw 3rd rounder? Not to mention you're pairing these guys with an erratic QB that is not a talented passer?
Predictably, the experiment fails, you hit the panic button and blow your wad on a receiver that hasn't produced in two years?
I've never piled on Jerry and always thought of him as a kinda blundering owner that sincerely wanted to win. He may still be that, but this was an impulsive move they forced on themselfs.
It was a panic move. Problem is they focused on getting the wrong position filled with better talent.Yesterday's trade really just encapsulated how fickle and rudderless our front office is.

Funny how that works.
Watkins was not the answer. He is great in the role he is in in KC but he is not a #1 either. Dallas would still make this trade even if they signed Watkins. They tried for Watkins but IIRC the Chiefs offered more guaranteed money.
Went from trying to spend money at WR, to being cheap and now to giving away assets for a soon to be not cheap WR.
Except you risk stubbing your toe on their "sky"And with our legendary coaching staff, the sky's the limit for him.
