Cowboy Front Office has not nothing to upgrade their run defense this offseason, you can make a strong case they have taken even a further step back:

-DLaw/Golston were our two best run defenders at the position, even Lawson was better then average. Sam Williams/Fowler are known to be liabilities in that area.

-Osa was resigned, but Thomas was brought in to back him up and really struggles against the run. They also lost Joseph.

-Overshown was expected to miss the majority of the season, they lost Kendricks and replaced him with Murray who is a downgrade in my opinion, Sanborn is a good veteran but has athletic limitations. Marist still in development.

You can make an argument that we need a DE, DT and LB.

As for offense, they lost their #2 WR in Cooks and their #1 RB in Dowdle, pretty much replaced them with depth players who may not even make the final roster in Williams, Sanders, Campbell. This offense doesn't scare anyone, they need to add 2 explosive playmakers at RB/WR.

Would not be surprised if the Cowboys drafted Williams or Stewart in the first then drafted Schlesinger in the second round. Run defense solved.

That's can what I want, but more of day 2 if we can get that extra top 50 pick.
I think it will be discussed but Jerry probably wants some type of splash. The Cowboys have not drafted a splash player in years.

There are so many ways to attack this draft with how many need we have. But if you were to tell me we got our WR2 in round 1 then used a majority of the remaining picks on front 7? I wouldn’t be mad at all.

Yeah we need to focus on stopping the run, and getting guys on offense that can make big plays/key plays for us, the kind of plays that other teams players make against us that look so easy!!

2 points:
The strength of this year's draft is DTs and RBs.
Guess what Dallas sucks at?
Stopping the run. Mazi and Osa ain't the runstopping answer.

Second point: Miles Sanders and Javonte Williams are the current Cowboy RB room.
Yeah, exactly.

So I say trade down, get 2 runstopping DTs within the 1st 4 rounds along with a RB.

Play to the strength of the draft.

That's a bold statement. I don't see how adding Williams and Schwis will be able to "solve" the run defense, not without adding a true 1T inside.
Adding Williams and Schiws will be a start, but I definitely wouldn't say "run defense solved" if we land them.
Run defense starts up front and inside. Everyone knows we are weak there. They will just continue to run right up the gut. A true lane clogging NT type is needed.

Ty Williams is one of the best 1Ts in the class IMO. Dude is a black hole against the run.

He is talking about the NT Williams from Ohio State.

Craps concrete blocks
picks his teeth with a giants thighbone
