For those of you who needed to read this: I'm not wasting time responding to you after this OP.

It's honestly hilarious how little some of you know about this sport. Blaming the QB or the offense for this loss is the height of absurdity. It's that or you're just willfully ignorant. Either way, you're not worth responding to. Sorry, not sorry.
:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Our offense put up 16 points in the 1st half. Scored on 4 of 5 possessions, with the 1 possession we DIDN'T score on being an INT that wasn't Dak's fault.

16 points in the 1st half? That's pretty good!

Our defense? Um, yeah. Didn't give us a chance at all. 41 points allowed through their first 6 possessions.

NO QB ON EARTH overcomes this and wins in the NFL.

Not Mahomes.
Not Allen.
Not Burrow.
Not Brady.
Not Montana.
Not Aikman.
Not Staubach.
Not ANYONE.

Dak wasn't very good in the 2nd half, but the game was pretty much over by then. He was pressing. The 2nd INT was bad. It just wasn't our day.

Pretty stats in the 2nd half wouldn't have changed the outcome, and the Little Anti-Dakkers would've surely blasted Dak for "stat-padding" if he WAS good in the 2nd half. These people were blaming Dak at halftime!!!! I wish I was joking. That's really the level of football IQ we're dealing with.
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

We have a week to figure out why our defense has been completely pathetic in our last 2 home games. Like, historically pathetic. Lamar and the Ravens won't be easy to deal with.

Fix the defense so the offense has a chance. Nobody wins ANYTHING in this league with a terrible defense.
Post of the day contender^^^

Trent had a top 5 defense in league history carrying him. Nick foles played good football at the right time and was out of the league shortly after. No one doubted the talent of Kelly or Marino.

The league lacks quality qb play which is why good QBs get elite money.

Oh.... I thought all wins an losses were on the quarterback. I didn't know that the defensive production mattered around here.

All I hear is what the quarterback does or doesn't do after wins and losses. So based on the logic given around here, I assumed Foles and Dilpher were better quarterbacks than Marino and Kelly, because Dilpher and Foles won Superbowls and Kelly and Marino didn't.

So you're saying it's still a team game?

I’m so hurt that you wouldn’t spend time responding to us. Don’t care.

Do you understand that more than one player or phase of the game can be to blame for losses?

Say it with me: the defense, quarterback, offensive line, and coaching were all atrocious yesterday. Come on, you can do it!
This. The defense and Dak sucked. What's the problem with saying as it is? Just like in the GB game, they all sucked. Simple is that.

But every once in a while it would be nice to have Dak on the asset list rather than among the failures in a lost game.

Dak over Dallas fans.

Dak's our guy for the next several years.

Dak fans are Dallas fans.

Pea-brained Dak haters (like you) aren't Dallas fans. You're mostly just broke and jealous of the man, and that bleeds over into ruining your fandom of your favorite football team.

Hope this helps!

We have had it.. we had it against Seattle last year when the D failed to show up.. and against the Eagles the year before when the defense failed to show up.. There have been plenty of games when the defense got shredded and Dak has bailed them out. The fact that he can't ALWAYS do it should not be held against him. NO QB or any player for that matter can lift up a team playing that poorly all the time. Even in the first half of yesterday's game Dak was pretty good. He was completing over 80% of his passes and had a TD. The INT came because Brooks fell on his break or that's an easy completion. Without that maybe we get one more TD and and maybe make a game of it. But no sane person saw that play and thought "I can't believe Dak threw that INT." But then a lot of fans are not sane in their Dak hate.. Which camp do you fall in?

Even in the case of Mahomes. KC's defense was a big part of why the Chiefs advanced to the Super Bowl and won it. So rarely do we actually see even the best of NFL QBs win Super Bowl constantly by having to get into shootouts throughout the entire playoffs or SB because of their defense being so bad. When was the last time a QB actually won a SB without his defense at some point stepping up to get a stop?

Because the highest scoring Super Bowls don't even have an defense who gives up 6 TD drives in a row. Saints offense could have dropped 60 on that Cowboys defense if they really wanted to.

People such as yourself whose primary purpose on this board seems to be to absolve Prescott of any and all blame for every loss to Cowboys suffer, are not Cowboys fans first and foremost, no matter how much you Proclaim otherwise

Dilfer was a miserable qb, the 2000 ravens defense was legendary in every facet. Unfortunately, we don’t have that so our 240m qb that’s a record breaking contract will have to pull his weight. Multiple td passes would put the loss squarely on the defense but that didn’t happen.

The last time Dak really showed up in a loss was the season opener against Tampa in 21.

And I honestly don't give a rats arse about what camp you homers want to put me in.

And I'm not even in panic mode like some here. Losses happen and the Saints were really good. But expectations are just as low as they have been for the last couple of seasons. January is where the cookie jar's at.

You should go back and watch the game at the Eagles last season. If you call 374 yards and 3 TDs with no picks "not showing up" then your standard is impossibly high and it's really worth engaging you further. But thank you for self identifying.

Cool. Tune in next week and pretend you understand what you're watching on Sunday afternoons!

Keep blaming the franchise QB when the defense allows 6 straight TD drives. You'll totally be taken seriously!
:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:
.It's one thing to keep doing the same thing over and over if you have the ability to be humorous or entertaining, but you don't even have that.

Your shtick has become genuinely sad at this point.

16 measly points isn’t good. Its sad that our standards are now that low. That’s 8 points per quarter for the first half.

Brandon Aubrey has scored the most points for this team so far. Let that sink in. That is pathetic.
Thing is, you say we scored on 4/5 possession. Yeah. FIELDGOALS. When the other team is scoring with TOUCHDOWNS, the QB and the rest of the offense needs to take it up a notch and match that energy. But they never did. The leader of the offense—aka, the QB, couldn’t muster up the talent and grit to do it, as per usual. Scoring all those fieldgoals tells me two things.

-MM is a coward and never goes for it despite the team digging itself further and further into a blowout
-MM and the OC don’t trust Dak to drive them down the field on a big 4 down conversion. All that money for a QB you can’t trust. What a joke.

Also, 2nd week in a row where Dak “hasn’t played good in the 2nd half”. And that isn’t concerning? This is his what, 9th year? And he just got his 2nd record breaking contract and he continues to play abysmally in the 2nd half? Just disgusting, abhorrent, and downright despicable IMO. This team is truly cooked.

The defense is undefendable. Yeah they played horribly. But how many times has the offense played horribly and the defense stepped up to the plate to make up for it? A few times I’m sure. The offense is supposed to do the same. Two completely different sides of the ball. The defense is playing bad? Time for the offense to step up and match the energy of the opponent’s offense. Patrick Mahomes did just that yesterday.
Why? KC's D gave up 16.5 points a game last year.

Hilarious how you think the offense needs to take it up a notch. Maybe, just maybe, the defense should take up a 5 notches.

How many teams won this weekend or last weekend or last decade when their defense gave up 44 points?

Game got out of control in 2nd quarter. Had some momentum after the great CeeDee play and only losing 13-21.

Then…
  1. Defense got run over, bullied, Kamara started the curb stomping. 13-28
  2. Cowboys come back. Dak throws the pick. Saints score. 13-35. Game over.
Aubrey can’t do it all! :muttley:
Too bad Aubrey does not play Defense.
