Not too bad, but not sure if I'd want Stewart. Had a great college career, but injury concerns me.

22. Dallas - Aqib Talib DB Kansas
Talib is an impressive athlete, but still needs some work at corner. He could play corner or safety, much like Anthony Henry. Having two players with the flexibility will allow things to play in in a way that only helps the Cowboys.

28. Dallas - Jonathan Stewart RB Oregon
Stewart has the talent to go much higher, he just slides because of teams not needing a back. While he is not the major homerun threat to pair with Marion Barber, he is a talented back. He could also be insurance in case Barber wants elite money in the near future.

They have James Hardy going to 49ers with the next pick. As deep as the draft is in RBs, I'd rather take one of the top WRs at this spot and pick up a back later.

Agreed, I like Stewart but there are other options that are going to be available for us in the second round.

I like this draft....a lot.

Sure, we could get other RBs in round two.

But there are a lot of WRs that will be available in round two as well.

This draft is really shaping up nicely for us. It's deep in nearly every position we're in need of.

dON't care for #22 but love #28

Talib? What's your beef with him. I actually don't think a corner of his caliber will be available at 22.

WR isn't deep this year. After the first 3-4, all the others are projected as No. 2s. I'm sure there will be a sleeper somewhere. Would rather draft one in the 1st round than wait.

Yes....it is deep.

It doesn't have many blue chippers....but quite a few red chippers.

i didn't know much about him till i watched more over the top CBs in the draft and he stood out by several analysts and a potential shut down corner who's biggest problem is over-confidence.

i'd be happy if it went like this.

I 'd be happy this draft.

I don't see Hardy being the "speed" WR we need.

No Stewart is overrated.... Talib I would like at 22 but I say draft the guard from UVA, Brandon Albert at 28 to replace Kosier, he's going to be a monster.

The one thing I don't see is us taking an Olineman in round 1. That just isn't going to happen.

Now could we pick up a guard in round 2? You bet. I just don't see it happening in round 1 and I consider that to be a pretty safe bet based on the drafting history of this team and it's current list of needs.

There are 8 or 10 good RBs in this draft by my estimation, but only 4 or 5 WRs.

I'm not worried about getting a "speed" guy. We need - and I hate to use this term - a playmaker. If Sweed or Thomas or Hardy or Kelly can fill that role, great. Having a little speedster to replace Glenn is secondary to having a candidate to eventually replace TO. If they think one of the WRs have that kind of ability, then by all means grab him.

That would be a great draft imho.

I think Stewart will be a bellcow pro. He is strong as an ox and has great speed.

Not sure what more you could want... he has measurables, the typical RB build and great college production.

Talib is right there with a few other CBs as good walk in day 1 3rd CBs who could start games if need be and will play the ball.

Hardy is a serious character question mark and doesn't help with speed.
He is a Plaxico type and this is a copycat league so my bet is he goes higher than 28 anyways.

I think the guy we struggle with at 28 is Malcolm Kelly. He's a top 20 guy on tape but hasn't worked out for anyone yet. If his agent decides to bring him to Dallas and workout for a team with two first rounder she could be our guy.

I wouldn't complain about this draft at all, though Talib doesn't strike me as much of a nickel corner which is what he would be asked to do next year....but that would be splitting hairs.

Nobody on the West Coast thinks Stewart is overrated -- I saw several Oregon games this year -- Stewart is a flat out stud - If he's at 28 that's great value.

count me out...not a Talib fan and dont want an injury prone, coming off surgery spread offense RB either, especially in the 1st rd
