It is amazing how stupid we have become as a people. More and more post on not just this forum, but the internet in general is littered with football intellectual stupidity. Then add negativity to that and it’s becoming more and more unbearable!

Dallas won today by controlling the clock like no other game since the dynasty days and a defense that as given up 10 points and 400 total yards in two games. The touchdown and 68 of those yards came on a missed tackle by the safety. If that didn’t happen we would be looking at an all time great defensive start to the season and a two game span.

Offensively putting together 5 12+ drives against a great defense that resulted in 24 points is pretty impressive.

With that said, a smart coach would not show anything more than he has too of his scheme. The play calling was very very vanilla after we went up by 3-scores for a reason.

Being negative and just spewing nonsense has become a pandemic in the world today.

I just finished saying the exact same thing.

This isn't a carbon copy of our 90s teams, but boy it has that feeling. Control the clock, play suffocating defense. Aikman never passed for huge yardage, yet he moved the team methodically down the field.

youre absolutely 100% correct

40-0 and 30-10 and people complain

the objective is to win the game....dont put the defense in bad situations...theres no point in trying to be ultra aggressive when nickle and diming them is working...death by a thousand cuts is still DEATH

but you also have to remember 45% of this board is eagles and giants fans pretending to be depressed cowboy fans

and the media well they get paid to spew nonsense...if youre up 27-10 with like 5 minutes left why would you need to do anything other than limit possessions for the other team? You dont need to score THEY DO

and if they do get a td who cares if theres only 8 seconds left

Whether deserved or not, there will always be whining and nashing of teeth in the game threads or chats.

i quit the gameday threads awhile back

the nonsense in there is ...i mean i have the words but i would get benched

so ill just say its a particular kind of stupid

the first time the other team get a 2 yard rush its a freakin meltdown

Exactly right. MM isn't going to show anything but vanilla if we are dominating with vanilla. It was pretty clear that the Jets had very little offensively. You can grind it out and win by 20 or show all your back pocket stuff and win by 40. Still a win either way

I kinda side eye Richard Sherman for calling out Dak during the giants game saying he passed for less than 150 and was erratic

first of all...WHOS THROWING THE BALL UP 3 TDS MOST OF THE GAME?!

2nd if the defense is dominating your job as an offense is to take time off the clock and score and if you dont punt and pin them deep

this is the kind of nonsense that makes me hate the football community

Just imagine im up 30 at halftime off running the triple option and my qb is 7/12 for 60 yards 0tds and 0ints but the run game is averaging 5 ypc and the defense is dominating

then i open up cowboyszone and see "dak sucks, he cant throw, that wont get it done, he only threw for 60 yards"

then imagine people lying and saying elite qbs can throw for 500 yards out of the wing t, flexbone, and wishbone then telling me youve seen it before

yeah you play the team that is in front of you. there was no need to take unnecessary risks against an opposing ball hawking defense with an opposing offense that has Zach Wilson under center. That was the big issue with Josh Allen. He wanted splashtown hero ball plays and coughed up the ball when FGs would have won the Bills the game.

Amen. Too much madden mentality going on.

It's a long season. No use showing the whole playbook in blow outs. I appreciate the grind it out approach way more than the risk it for the biscuit approach throwing for 450 and risking interceptions. Protect the ball. Keep your defense fresh. Run out the clock.
