According to the local NBC affiliate, the decision will be made/announced prior to KO tomorrow eve.

smells like a SNF game. If that's the case I might be able to actually wait a day before driving back to Georgia. If not, I have to drive back on the 2nd so I don't miss the game.

Man they better not. I already have to miss most of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th of the Commander's game because I have to go into work. Hopefully they keep the Iggle's game the way it was scheduled in the beginning.

I know it really shouldn't matter aand probably won't, but I'll feel much better about this game once it's officially a Sunday night game. From my point of view a lot shifts in our favor.

1) We'll know exactly where we stand. If were already in, if the 2 seed's still a possibility or if were playing for our playoff lives. I just feel like the team can focus on the task at hand much better if we already have a wild card spot. Less pressure and the team can play loose.

2) Can't tell you why, but Philly has been poor in prime time under Reid. We have actually been very good. Romo is like 18-3 in prime time and I don't think we've lost a Sunday night game.

3) There's always a little extra buzz in the crowd for a prime time game and we'll need all the help from the 12th man we can get.

If you don't think it's a positive, check out what the Philly fans are saying. They don't want this game flexed to Sunday Night.

BTW - I think it's almost a guarantee the game is flexed.

If the Giants and Eagles win tomorrow, there will be too much riding on this game for it not to be flexed.

There is are some reasons I don't like this at all. I hate waiting all day for a Cowboy game. It seems like it has happened a lot this season. I also don't like it because all the other games will be over and if it comes down to a win getting into the playoffs I will definitely not be comfortable with it. Just play this game at 1 like all the other games and get it over with.

The Cowboys mean ratings, and the Cowboys against the Eagles for the NFC East championship and the playoffs means big, big ratings. I'm not sure, though, how they can determine what will be at stake against Philly before the game against the Skins. (First post above said the announcement would be before the game tomorrow.)

So where are the rules with regards to flexing certain teams? I thought the Cowboys and Eagles have already met their allowed quota of prime time games. I'm going to look up the rules and will try to make some sense of this.

We lost 33-31 to the Giants earlier this year. That was played on Sunday Night. :(

Before the opening kickoff, we should know if Indy is 15-0. I think that's the only game that may flex into the Sunday Night schedule, if NBC is more interested in the Colts' quest for 16-0 compared to the Eagles and Cowboys battling for the NFC East.

I think NBC chooses Eagles-Cowboys. Why?

Cowboys, baby. Dallas is a ratings magnet with as much people interested in seeing us win as seeing us lose.

The Colts 16-0 run loses some of its luster because the Patriots did it merely two years ago. Besides, it's being played in Buffalo. :(

I just read on Wikipedia that all rules are off limits for week 17 flexing. Meaning that they can choose to flex any game they want. Fox and CBS cannot protect any games during week 17, and they throw out all rules with regards to prime time appearances for week 17.

So I guess Sunday Night it is...and we all have to wait longer in the day for the outcome

I sure wouldn't stick around for 3 hours to watch the Colts beat the Bills 50-0.

I think the Giants and the Eagles both have relatively easy wins tomorrow, so we should all be in for some hair-raising football the next two weeks. Woo Hoo! :D

I love this time of year.

Unless you have Sunday Ticket or live in Texas, there's a chance you could miss the game if it stays at its original kickoff time. If I'm assured of seeing the game, I don't mind waiting 'til 8:20 EST.
