Yes, maybe they’ll leave and never come back. I mean they stated over and over how there’s no hope as long as the Jones are here. So why would they keep coming here?

In Dallas’s best interest, the team may be garnering more media attention than even when they were winning Super Bowls.

Everyone knows Jeremy Clarkson’s cars go fast, but his most famous one could very well be the Ford GT he owned that didn’t work right. Thats what sells. Every sob story has a silver lining, though some you have to dig a bit deeper

Is this yet another thread trying to shove Dak's worth down our throats again?

Other than his slobberers, no one cares about Dak's personal stats. They haven't lead to playoff success. Hell, they haven't even lead to an NFC east title the past 2 seasons. So why try so damn hard to put him on this massive pedestal that he doesn't belong on?

Has he won any MVP awards? Has he lead his team to a championship level? No, he hasn't. Granted its not his fault alone, but he damn sure contributed to the the 33-31 record since 2016. Thats a mediocre record, by the way, and no where near worthy of 40 million a season.

Why do you keep wasting your time trying to force everyone to your opinion or way of thinking? Do you think you're the CZ dictator or something?

No but why bother posting on a site that you really don’t care about. Unless you’re a troll. I’m not saying you are but that is what makes sense to me. There’s always a positive side to this franchise.

Instead of telling people they “hate” look at it as frustration. I started being a Cowboy fan in 1975 as a kid. It was 9 years in on a record 20 consecutive winning seasons. Most people in this time period had a mindset of “Super Bowl or bust” and there wasn’t this “hey we can win our weak division” This was pervasive through the 80s until the bottom fell out but most still believed it was SB or bust and even with the 1989 team there was a buzz that we would get back and we did.

So live 20-23 years of your life with that mentality,,,nothing short of being a winner...and compare it to the last 25. We’ve had some great players and teams but they failed when it counted most. We are in the cellar of the NFL in making a NFC Championship game and we have an owner who continues to do the same stuff over and over and over. We wasted 10 years on an adopted son coach. The wildcatter we had as an owner early on is gone.

So that’s where I stand. I’m not a hater. I love the Cowboys...I’m a fan of Dak... or I wouldn’t be pissed. It’s not hate, it’s frustration because I spent half of my fandom expecting excellence. Expecting SBs. Now we are expected to expect “meh” and hopefully getting on a lucky run. That’s what it feels like when you witnessed the greatness of the early days

Past performance is no guarantee of future results... But it is a likely indicator.

Which is why everyone uses it despite being wrong half the time. More than half of the super bowls, including the last two, featured a team that didn't even make the playoffs the previous season. Did anyone see them coming? No, because people are picking the best teams from last season.

The only solid bet in the NFL is that any team Tom Brady is on will win 10 or more games. You'll probably lay out 10 bucks for every dollar you'll win, but you can still win yourself some money.

Probably 75% of the threads, posts since the March 15th have been crapping on the Cowboys. And that’s probably conservative. I’ve heard things like “26 more years of mediocrity”, “team has no chance with Jerry”, “team has no chance with Stephen”, “team has no chance with Dak”, etc, etc, etc. It’s like a big sleepover with a bunch of 12 yr old girls. It doesn’t matter the age group, many of the old farts are there with the young farts. It’s been quite entertaining. It’s like they don’t realize that every year a new team goes out there on week 1. Not the team from the previous year, but a new team. And of recent, new coaches. Much needed new coaches.

So my question, is why have all you Haters given up so easily? Why have you quit on the team? Why are you even here since you have?

It’s a new year, with new players, with new coaches. Last year the team experienced the most injuries in one year since I’ve been a fan and that has been since 63. There’s never been as many injuries to key players as last year. So what do you expect after that a damn Super Bowl? Get real. Put down the damn Madden game. Quit watching Stephen A Smith and all the talking heads like him.

This team is on the precipice of great success. When Dak’s been healthy the offense scores points. He’s had 23, 22, 23 and 30 TD’s in his first 4 years and 9 in 4.5 games last year.

Since Dak has taken over the Cowboys average
26.6 pts per game in 2016,
22.7 in 2017,
21.4 in 2018
27.1 in 2019
And over 30 puts per game in 2020 before he got injured.

And that’s with some of the worst defenses overall during those years in the NFL. Defenses that could not get off the field.

So now we have yet again a new DC. One with some great creds. MM is in his 2nd year as the HC. It’s really his first as last year he had no time to implement his culture to the organization because of Covid. Yet the team won 3 out of the last 4 games. With all those critical injuries.

Many of you haters will ***** up until a Super Bowl win and some of you will ***** about certain players performance. You need to take a close look at yourself. Why have you given up? Why have you quit? Every year is different. Don’t quit. Don’t ever, ever give up. Keep fighting or resign yourself to being losers.
I have been a fan of this franchise since it first played its first game . How can I not love the star and what it represented. That doesn’t mean I Appreciate every team that was put on the field. Heck I thought the strike season was better than some of the others. I don’t mind critiquing but I’ll never hate on them. Go cowboys

What's it to you on how other fans perceive the team? You let others make too much of a mark when enjoying what you like about the Cowboys and this forum. We literally have nothing to do with this team's performance on the field. The only thing we contribute to is the financial bottom line.

The team has been disappointing for a long while. That said they've made it interesting since the moment Romo took over for Bledsoe. I always feel like we've got a chance. Last season was different once Dak went down.

I believe this team will compete again next season and who knows? Hope springs eternal in the off season. I stay excited for next year. The highs are just as high, but I don't go nearly as low anymore.

To be perpetually without hope doesn't appeal to me. It's a sad, bitter perspective to keep. You can rationalize it on a keyboard, but in an honest moment we are all here as hopeful fans.

Every year has been the same for 25+ years and from all indications they are repeating their same approach to team building this offseason. Dak gives me less confidence than Romo, so he is not a positive motivating factor. You are one of those fans that thinks you are part of the team. Grow up! Fans do not fight for wins and our opinion means nothing to the team. We have no effect on winning and losing. You are just an old guy with an internet connection and you can pretend to be a Cowboy if you want, but pretending is not reality.
OMG!!

POT MEET KETTLE.......!!

Pssssst.....you aren't paying Daks salary.

HOWEVER.....IF YOU ARE.....forget what I just said and let's be BFF's, K?

Same organizational structure, same personnel director, same GM, same people who hired the bad coaches hired the next ones, and no matter how many times they screw it up they'll hire the next set of scapegoats players and coaches. That is not how most teams operate, and it's definitely not how the successful ones operate.

Smart organizations fire personnel directors and GMs who can't get the job done. Dumb organizations, like Dallas and Cincinnati, are run by owners who like to perform those roles themselves. Jerry and Stephen rearranging the deck chairs might seem "new" to you each year, but some of us aren't as skilled in the art of self-delusion as you. I'll believe something is different if/when I see different results.

My past...where I grew up, I was a baseball player in High School. I was working at a rest restaurant as a dish washer and they had a TV on playing the Dallas Cowboys. I never payed no mind to the Cowboys...I was a catcher. I played for the Highland Hornets in Albuquerque.

Some how or the other, the Highland Hornets beat the Valley Vikings that day in football and it was the exact score when the Cowboys won their game. I really wish I knew that score...

My present, I started my love for the Cowboys at that time.
