My past...where I grew up, I was a baseball player in High School. I was working at a rest restaurant as a dish washer and they had a TV on playing the Dallas Cowboys. I never payed no mind to the Cowboys...I was a catcher. I played for the Highland Hornets in Albuquerque.

Some how or the other, the Highland Hornets beat the Valley Vikings that day in football and it was the exact score when the Cowboys won their game. I really wish I knew that score...

My present, I started my love for the Cowboys at that time.
Del Norte representing!!!

We have a new DC, but the same players , or worst:
Last draft we get two players Lamp and Diggs, 2021 draft another 2? is HC and DC fault? will see
What’s going to be the starting defense on game one Einstein? I’ll be waiting for your lineup.

Surely you know the reason - and it's not 'Giving Up"
Most of the people who populate this board are ardent Cowboy fans. Some longer than others, Its the frustration of this F.O. that drives everyone balmy.
It used to be that Jerry would throw money at the talent problems each year. Missed more the won, but had some big wins. Last 7 - 10 years, the drafting has been much better, but the free Agency has dropped right off the face of the map.

My frustration level is this - they have tried it both ways, but refuse to find a balance between College players - Draft. And pro players - Free Agency. We all watched when they refused to Draft the DT that they had rated 5th on their board (Was the Fredricks draft). Was the difference of Scouts vs Coach's. Cost the coordinator his job, they went out and got Will McClay. (The player wasn't the problem, the way the two sides couldn't agree was). But they learned from that mistake.
Now, F.A. has been a problem for a long time - and they wont adapt, they haven't learned.
I've said for the last 2 years at least that Jerry must see that his time remaining with the Cowboys is limited, his window to get back to a Super Bowl is rapidly closing. He cant stay passive on one side of the talent acquisition timeline. They have to find a balance.
But they refuse to play both sides of the coin. Surely they must see it, they aren't that blind. No-one wants to see them do what the Patriots are doing this year, but they have to find some sort of compromise.
The fact that they blatantly refuse to do it is what infuriates everyone.
We all love/like this team, or we wouldn't spend so much time here.
We all want them to be better, So when they continue to hamstring themselves year after year - you get to where we are now.
Cynical and continuously disappointed.
You just explained how you’ve given up after you said it’s not “Giving Up” :lmao:

This post is like a bat signal to all the Cowboys homers. Just look at who likes his post and realize those are the fans that if we signed Nick Hayden out of retirement tomorrow, they'd call it a shrewd move.
And a magnet for the habitual haters like yourself.

Probably 75% of the threads, posts since the March 15th have been crapping on the Cowboys. And that’s probably conservative. I’ve heard things like “26 more years of mediocrity”, “team has no chance with Jerry”, “team has no chance with Stephen”, “team has no chance with Dak”, etc, etc, etc. It’s like a big sleepover with a bunch of 12 yr old girls. It doesn’t matter the age group, many of the old farts are there with the young farts. It’s been quite entertaining. It’s like they don’t realize that every year a new team goes out there on week 1. Not the team from the previous year, but a new team. And of recent, new coaches. Much needed new coaches.

So my question, is why have all you Haters given up so easily? Why have you quit on the team? Why are you even here since you have?

It’s a new year, with new players, with new coaches. Last year the team experienced the most injuries in one year since I’ve been a fan and that has been since 63. There’s never been as many injuries to key players as last year. So what do you expect after that a damn Super Bowl? Get real. Put down the damn Madden game. Quit watching Stephen A Smith and all the talking heads like him.

This team is on the precipice of great success. When Dak’s been healthy the offense scores points. He’s had 23, 22, 23 and 30 TD’s in his first 4 years and 9 in 4.5 games last year.

Since Dak has taken over the Cowboys average
26.6 pts per game in 2016,
22.7 in 2017,
21.4 in 2018
27.1 in 2019
And over 30 puts per game in 2020 before he got injured.

And that’s with some of the worst defenses overall during those years in the NFL. Defenses that could not get off the field.

So now we have yet again a new DC. One with some great creds. MM is in his 2nd year as the HC. It’s really his first as last year he had no time to implement his culture to the organization because of Covid. Yet the team won 3 out of the last 4 games. With all those critical injuries.

Many of you haters will ***** up until a Super Bowl win and some of you will ***** about certain players performance. You need to take a close look at yourself. Why have you given up? Why have you quit? Every year is different. Don’t quit. Don’t ever, ever give up. Keep fighting or resign yourself to being losers.
Stop the propaganda get a life and stop telling people how to be a fan the only loser is you. You should look in a mirror and see the pathetic creature you must be. Go back to to rock you crawled out from and leave the folks alone they have a right to any views they like. Pathetic.

Why do you keep wasting your time trying to force everyone to your opinion or way of thinking? Do you think you're the CZ dictator or something?
Not at all. I’m just trying to instill some good in people. You either take the advice of being a *****ing whiner about everything Cowboys, or you realize the positives and hope for the future. I’m not saying being positive and hopeful always works. It hasn’t for the last 26 years. But it’s the much better attitude to have. Otherwise, you’re just a quitter and a loser. Your choice.

Completely agree especially as Dak Prescott's contract for next season is a non issue as the $25 million carried over more than covers it.

We have money to burn so why not go for it...

Instead of telling people they “hate” look at it as frustration. I started being a Cowboy fan in 1975 as a kid. It was 9 years in on a record 20 consecutive winning seasons. Most people in this time period had a mindset of “Super Bowl or bust” and there wasn’t this “hey we can win our weak division” This was pervasive through the 80s until the bottom fell out but most still believed it was SB or bust and even with the 1989 team there was a buzz that we would get back and we did.

So live 20-23 years of your life with that mentality,,,nothing short of being a winner...and compare it to the last 25. We’ve had some great players and teams but they failed when it counted most. We are in the cellar of the NFL in making a NFC Championship game and we have an owner who continues to do the same stuff over and over and over. We wasted 10 years on an adopted son coach. The wildcatter we had as an owner early on is gone.

So that’s where I stand. I’m not a hater. I love the Cowboys...I’m a fan of Dak... or I wouldn’t be pissed. It’s not hate, it’s frustration because I spent half of my fandom expecting excellence. Expecting SBs. Now we are expected to expect “meh” and hopefully getting on a lucky run. That’s what it feels like when you witnessed the greatness of the early days
Nothing wrong with being frustrated, pissed off or bar brawling mad. I’m sure as hell am. Jerry’s lived off Jimmy Johnsons success thinking it’s his own for over 20 years now. We all have reason to be pissed and that’s putting it mildly. But things change from year to year. Players change. The coaches change. Even Jerry has changed relinquishing much of the personnel issues to Stephen. For me, I always look at the positive side of things. I’ve stated the positives over and over on other threads so I’m not going to repeat them again. I’m getting tired of it. What pisses me off is the posters, and I’m not talking about you at all, that just come here every day, every thread, every post and ***** about anything concerning the Cowboys. They’ve said over and over how there’s not hope as long as Jerry is in charge or Dak is the QB, or Lee is a starter, or LVE is a starter or Jaylon is a starter or whatever the current topic is. Why are they here? I’ve asked them that question over and over and get no response. Because we all know why they are here. They need the negativity. They live on it. They thrive on it. It’s all they have in life.

Yes, maybe they’ll leave and never come back. I mean they stated over and over how there’s no hope as long as the Jones are here. So why would they keep coming here?

They simply have higher standards than you do. We expect to compete for the SB every year. See, before Jerry Jones and his clown show, the Dallas Cowboys were in the hunt EVERY YEAR. There were a couple of bad times; early of course and then the late 80's.

BUT overall we expected more than you are happy to settle for.

I get that. Well written post. There is no need to just hate on everything. I just wanted to express where my frustrations came from and I’m wondering if many other feel the same where it can sound hateful

I’m as frustrated as you are if not more. My conscious Cowboy fan hood started in 63. There’s no problem for us to show our frustration for the past 26 years. The issue here is the ones that just crap on everything and anything the Cowboys do day in and day out. Every thread, every post, every fricken day. Those are the guys I’m preaching to.

Rocky? Who are you trying to save? Let the losers be losers. You really can't save them anyway. Of course, they will want to be included in the celebration when the Cowboys win it all.

Maybe if you ask Reality real nice he will make the "Positivity Zone" where you and the handful of super fans that want to tell everyone one else how to be fans can go play pattie cake until the season ends without us bothering you. Until then the superfan act wore thin long ago. Seriously, you are like ants a picnic. Feel free to put me on ignore.
