gosh. a dak contract thread calling out a segment of fans.
how novel.
Oh the irony!Love how people bring up SB rings as evidence that one QB is better than another. What’s even more funny is that some of the dame people who use that argument against Dak are the same ones who say Romo was better than Eli and his TWO rings. Hypocrites.
He would have two rings if he would've just handed the ball to Marshawn Lynch. The prospect of Russell Wison becoming a Dallas Cowboy just shined a bright light on how little Dak Prescott brings to the table and how overpaid he would be at any price more than $15-$20 million per year.
Russell Wilson is the real deal; he is a real leader and he makes his team better. He is easily worth top money, and has the ring to prove it.
Dak has been living in a fantasy football world, and his fans point to his stats as evidence that he is a top quarterback, but his poor record in big games speaks for itself and tells a different story.
Russell Wilson has the ring, and no one would dare try to compare apples to apples between he and Dak. It's not even close.
And regardless of whether or not Russell Wilson comes to the Cowboys, Dak's real value- or lack thereof- is now more clear than ever before.
He's not the guy.
"We’ve never seen QBs available like they are now."
I'd also add, ready made to play in the NFL immediately.

No, he’s not - he’s a 20mil guyeven dak haters recognize he’s worth more than 15-20 per year...
I think the nut of the observation of the OP is that if Wilson and Prescott were on the same level, we wouldn't want to trade for Wilson. Yet most of us do. Which shows that deep down we think Dak is a level down from what we need. We might be wrong, but that's what we really think when push comes to shove.

And Dak wants 5 years and Jerry insists on him taken 4 years so he can give him another contract and prove how smart he isThe reason Dak’s deal is probably taking so long is that Dak is asking for $15 million per year and Jerry wants to pay him $40 million per year and neither wants to compromise.
do we really, I believe if you put Dak on Russ super bowl team, Dak has a ring too, I dont believe Russ would've won here. then what would we feel? wopuld we be trying to trade Russ for Dak?
1) Wilson is a better QB than Dak. That's not to say Dak is a bad QB, he's a very good QB. Wilson is better.
2) If you could make a fair trade for him, the cap savings alone would make it worth it.
Anyone who wants to see the huge difference between Dak and Wilson should go watch the end of the week 5 game between the Hawks and the Vikings.
Down by 5 with 1:57 left at their own 6 yard line Wilson leads them to first and goal at the six with 0:32 left. Starting here is where Wilson shows how much more complete he is than Dak. Needing a TD to win, Wilson was asked to take four straight shots into the endzone, from the pocket. He and Metcalf scored the winner on fourth down. All attempts were tight window attempts in traffic.
Wilson was trusted and respected enough to take those shots. We practically NEVER see that from Dak in that position. In close like that it is always some sort of trickery or a swing pass to Zeke or maybe a QB draw or a jet sweep. Probably see the fumblerooskie this year...
Those throws are one area that Dak has shown little to no improvement in and that is made clear by the play calling in those situations.
