I would be in favor of Rivera or Singletary as HC because we probably won't get both, ... and JG as OC.

Pittsburgh, Arizona, Miami and Atlanta all made coaching hires without even mentioning the word "Norval" (the Raiders obviously don't count).

Why? Why is Jason Garrett going to be good? Because he used to be a backup quarterback? He's never really done anything as a coach. I'm not saying he won't be good but at this point no one knows. I can say he will fail just easily as you can say he'll be successful. Only time will tell if that turns out to be a good move. At this time next year, everyone could be complaining about Garrett and his playcalling. I wouldn't go by Jones' "feeling" on who will be a good head coach some day. This is the same guy who told me Dave Campo was going to turn around the Cowboys and what a hot coaching prospect he was (despite never having one interview with another team). And Norv sucks. That's a documented fact. So why am I eating crow again?

you cant really say getting Garrett in the fold wasnt a great move. its pretty clear the guy is rising fast in this league....he was wanted by Miami to stay, Dallas, Rams, Bama, LSU, Mike Singletary to be his OC in Atlanta if he got that job etc...reports say he is well thought of by people around the league....I would say getting him to be OC was a solid move
