It's hilarious. Many of y'all were itching and moaning when we had a high tempo gun slinger offense under Romo. He takes too many risks y'all said. Now y'all are itching and moaning about a more conservative approach with Dak. FANS!! I tell ya. Lmao
Sturm is very familiar with this forum and the statistical info posted here over the years, so he recognizes the names and knows who he can trust.BTW .......is this from our own Cowboy Zone poster to Bob Sturm?
I'm a Huge Romo fan. This was not an attack on Romo. I would rather have a healthy Romo under center any day. I'm just sick of the hate of the QB position. All of Romos career all we read was anti Romo stuff. Now we have a new QB and the same tired song. It's depressing coming onto the forums at times. I wasn't trying to say the same fans are doing both. It's just a broad statement at fans. I for one will support our QB regardless of my preference of who I would have liked under centerYou're making a lot of assumptions. You're assuming that the same people are talking about both.
The problem wasn't that Romo took too many risks. Romo took risks to keep us in games because we had bad defenses. Please look up Romo's splits and look at his QB rating when playing with a lead. Actually, I'll help you out. He had a 3-1 td to interception ratio and a 103.3 QB rating.
Romo didn't have the luxury of good defense most of his career, but go ahead and compare him to Dak.
That's a 31- game sample. You want to try to explain how ALL 31 QB with a 94-96 rating happened to be facing bad teams? That bogus stat doesn't tell us nothing when we don't even know who the teams were just the numbers. They could've been against Browns type teams. Need more info imo.

It’s the Fantasy Football effect. There are a lot of fans who value stats as much or more than winning.

Since 2008, teams with less than 200 yards passing, 6.2 to 6.4 YPA and 0 interceptions are 11-0 against winning teams, including 10-0 against playoff teams.
I saw improvement. More confidence and a freedom to run an offense that's more designed to his skill set. Were there drives stopped? Of course. Were they all Daks fault? One maybe. Otherwise the rest of the offense committed penalties negating good plays. But sure let's blame the qbContinue to support him when he doesn't get the job done against the elite teams in the NFL. Beating the now 0-2 Giants and having another sub 200 game isn't going to cut it.

I don’t remember fans complaining about Romo passing for less than 200 yards against GB in the playoffs. Take away his short pass to TWill who took it the distance and Romo was close to 150 yards.
The defense, Murray, and Bailey were faulted for that game and Romo was praised for a masterful performance.
