Im fine with Zeke as long as we acquire more picks in a trade down.

If we take him at 4 then that is just sad.

He's not that special of a player. He's good but he could easily be another Mark Ingram.

gotta good feeling about the guy. i read tea leaves. :)

I'm fine with him but i'd be just as happy if chip offers us Carlos Hyde and a 3rd rounder to move back a few spots and I don't think there would be a massive difference in production.

After watching 45 minutes of Zeke highlights, I just don't see anything special in him to take the kid at 4.. Sure he's able to get through the holes at Ohio State quickly, but he just doesn't have that AD quality or even Murray, where he can plant that foot in the ground and change directions on a dime & his lack of lateral quickness also doesn't excite me.. Most of his runs are give it and go and NFL defenses won't make it that easy.

If we pass on Ramsey for Elliot I might blow a gasket. If we trade down and get Elliot then I would be happy. But we cant pass up on Ramsey at 4

He has Ramsey going to SD, ahead of Dallas.

One more week and we can rid ourselves of all this speculation nonsense.

At this point, I just want the Cowboys to draft starters...at any position. Hopefully, at least three.

Same here. The waiting and prediction game is torture. In one week, even if I hate the picks, at least we will all KNOW where we stand and what our needs are.

Thats even worse. IN NO WAY CAN WE PASS UP ON THE BEST PLAYER IN THE DRAFT. If Tunsil is at 4 and we cant get somebody to trade with we MUST TAKE TUNSIL

Hopefully Ramsey, so we can draft someone that helps us more at that point. Like Elliot or Bosa, or a slight trade down.

I don't see how Bosa is possibly in play. We already have two DE's suspended due to drugs, are they dumb/bold enough to add a third with drug concerns?

I'd guess Tunsil. SD needs help bad on line

Actually they have their two tackles signed. They could use him inside like we did with Martin. Don't know that you would draft an OG at #3. I see them going for Ramsey

I don't think Dunlap will stop them from drafting a potentially dominant LT, but Ramsey makes a lot of sense.

Well ok, Bosa is out because some on CZ is against getting a player that can be solid for 12 years....send that idea to Jerry....

Was listening to McShay and Kiper on the radio this morning.

Both said neither Goff nor Wentz falls into that category where you feel you must take them in the top 2 picks. Nothing at all like Luck, for example.
They said they rate closer to Bortles. They both also seemed to agree that if they end up being great, of course, nobody will care what the cost was...yet they seemed to feel neither would be "great".

As for Lynch; McShay thinks he is a 3 year project with upside. Kiper thinks he's a project as well, but clearly thinks he's late 1st round material. The key, they say, is for him to go to a team that will let him sit a good while and learn.
Arizona would be a good landing spot late in the 1st. No earlier than that though.

As for Elliott. Even though Kiper personally doesn't like taking RBs early in the 1st round (or 1st round at all) he said that the actual grade for Elliott warrants him being taken in the top 5 or 6.
He said the bottom line is that you must at the very least take a player in the top 5 in the draft that at least grades that high. If there isn't one there, you should trade down.

I don't think "Can be solid for 12 years" is really a compelling argument anymore than saying, "That guy is going to be a bust."

The fact of the matter is the team has two DE's in the drug program, Bosa has been suspended just this last season due to drugs. Those are facts, and certainly worth considering.

Solid player... and 4th pick overall... just doesnt sound right to me. Or maybe I'm insane.

He is 20 years old and has less mileage than the backs others are suggesting later.

That said, the Lawrence thing has likely blown this out of the water and McShay is a day late. Dallas will almost certainly take a DL at 4.

I disagree. To draft a player just because we will be without guys for four games seems like that would be a huge knee jerk reaction...especially if it means on missing out on a special talent like Zeke. Granted, Jerry has knee jerked before (hello Roy Williams) but it has been awhile since that level of epic fail for the top brass. Here's hoping that trend continues.

This is why you take EE...I am not saying take Bosa, just feel he gets too much criticism for the wrong reasons...but hey, be critical for whatever you think....
I never been on the Bosa wagon anyway, even before any reports of this issue, but I would not complain too much if they did, depending the outcome of the rest of the draft.

You clearly didn't watch the recent Sport Science segment on him. They compared his lateral agility to that of LeSean McCoy. At 6 foot 220 plus pounds that is amazing.

I think Stephen took out Jerry's knees when he tried to get Johnny F[ailure]....let's hope Jerry didn't get them replaced when his hips were replaced...LOL....
