For the Milton haters. You don't know QB

Well if there's one thing experienced NFL observers know: guys who look good in preseason games in August against other team's 2nd and 3rd stringers...ALWAYS also look good when called upon to play in REAL games against real NFL starters.

I mean.... has anyone actually ever seen a guy play good in preseason games, and then play like hot garbage during the regular season?

I haven't. I don't see how it would be possible

Told you Cowboybish Milton will be a starter, and hopefully for the Pokes. qb rating over 151 last night 2 te passes and a td run. He man is a baller with unusual talents throwing and running. Now that there is a coaching staff in place, the sky is the limit. You all wrong about Shelton also. He will be a long term starter as well. Go Pokes!

Look, the way Milton is playing is considerably better than he played last year. Yes, you can say it was against the other team's 3rd stringers and it was. However, Milton was playing with our 3rd stringers including Shelton who apparently played abysmally. You cannot take away the perfect ball he threw to Mingo for 53 yards or the pass to Davis for the TD or the pass to Brown. Those passes were outstanding no matter who they were against. Howell is a journeyman QB with awful results when he played. There is a reason he has kicked around so many teams and not stuck with any. Dumb to have paid him $2.5 mil. Another Jerruh move that made no sense to me. Rush was a better alternative than Howell. Rush at last has won some games. Howell is one of those guys that looks like a safe bet but when called upon falls on his sword. The int and sack in the red zone against 3rd stringers was not unusual for this journeymanc.

Sturm and Davidson still think Howell is the better option in a real game, and maybe they get a pick for Milton. But they are far from sure which way Dallas will go. They compliment Milton and the coaches for far better preseason than that ridiculous one last year.

I still think they should keep both.

Well, essentially it's everyone who loves Dak. They hate Milton because he might threaten Dak. They want Milton to suck so their hero can keep losing playoff games.

This is a myth. Most people like Dak because we feel he gives us the best chance to win. The only way Milton can take his job is if there’s an injury and at that point what else is left? It’s Milton or I guess maybe Sam Howell? If anyone hates Milton it’s not because of Dak if anything it’s because traded for him.

Milton is on this team without a doubt. No question. The question is do they take 3. To me the 3rd guy is a bit excessive.

These guys were nowhere. I’m a Dak fan and I was saying let’s hold off and wait Milton was a project. It was a lot of busts. People were mad Jerry traded a low pick for him lol.

Voch and Broaddus day they need to trade Milton while his stock is high because he'll be 30 by the time Dak is gone.

Howell has started many games in the NFL and the Cowboys know what he can/can't do at this point. So far I've been disappointed in his play. Being just ok isn't what I was expecting from an experienced vet with 18 starts.

I have a Sam Howell conspiracy theory: the only reason he’s started so many games is because Snyder was forced to sell the Skins.

They intentionally tanked that last season so they could charge top dollar for the team, having a top 3 pick in a loaded QB draft class and guaranteeing the new owner a franchise cornerstone.

I'd like to see Milton get all the snaps Friday night. He needs all he can get to continue his progression. I would also like to see Schotty and Adams challenge him to make every throw not just the safe ones. Last night was impressive. He has more upside/athletic ability than Howell. Just keep it going!

I get Doug Williams vibes big-time watching him. Same arm, awareness, and wheels. Now he's got the accuracy. He's dangerous. Could he replace Dak at some point?

Milton has shown that has improved in his mental game. That's very promising.
