You already endure the work week looking forward to the next game, then you endure the weekend only to be reminded that you have to complete a whole day of work on Monday before we get to see our Boys.:bang2:

I do too.

I remember many Monday nights after a tough loss like against the Raiders in '74 and the Chiefs in '75 that caused me to lay awake virtually all night-- wondering how I would beat back the "Cowboys' suck" chorus I was certain to get the following day at school-- being dead tired & verbally abused is not a winning combination!

The Cowboys have done some amazingly good things on Monday nights and some horrifically awful. The "Jekyll & Hyde" thing is enough to put me on edge for Monday night games.

Solution: Get a job you enjoy or at least one where you don't need a 6 pack at the end of the day to bring your frustrations down enough so you won't go on a shooting spree.

I am just kidding, I know how you feel!

Short week for a road game against a rejuvenated Carolina Panthers looms after this game.

Sorry for the cold water splash.

Don't feel bad. I work til 9 on Monday evenings (but my students have already been warned of an early release this week - fire me, I don't care.;) And I'll just tape Countdown.

Still. I love Monday and Sunday night games. It means being able to use Sunday Ticket to best advantage at 1 and 4 on Sunday - impossible to do so when the Cowboys are playing.

Monday night games also make the the first day of the work week more bearable... a game to look forward to that evening...and then the whole work week feels shorter after the game.

I'd be happy if Dallas exclusively played Monday and Sunday nights.

the part about monday night that I hate is that some guys step up there game when there is a national audience. If you can step it up for the national press then why in the heck can't you do that every week for all the fans that really matter?

other than that I like monday night just fine.

I'm probably the only person not looking forward to Michael Irvin's input tomorrow night before the game.

I Love the Monday night games, but we follow that up with a sunday night game at carolina brutal!!!!! It may get worse as far as night games go especially if the cowboys get on a hot streak. The NFL's FLEXIBLE schedule will no doubt try to get as many cowboy games as it can. I'm already hearing the colts game is one possiblity.

well guys like TO and steve smith. Last monday night game we had julius jones said he steps his game up cause he knows all eyes are on him. Julius is slowly growing on me but that comment set him way back in my mind. stat wise its pretty common for guys to do better than normal on monday nights. Either give it your all every time you step on the field or I am not gonna respect you. Though its not like any players give a crap whether i respect them or not.

Not MNF specifically, but Julius seems to play well on a national stage. Cases in point: the Thanksgiving Chicago game, the MNF Seattle game, the Carolina game that was televised to most of the nation last year, and quiet as it's kept, he had 100 yards in that loss to the Eagles two weeks ago. So JuJo seemingly does well in the spotlight. Let's hope so for tomorrow night.

I didn't know Julius said that, but since it's JJ, my armchair shink analysis is that it's more a 'negative' incentive not to embarrass himself on national primetime tv than a 'positive' one to be 'the star'. Even the great Michael Jordan was motivated by such concerns, and Parcells too is a classic example of fear of losing, and the embarrassment it entails.

JJ strikes me as a player who always gives 100 percent, and I'd guess every single player feels a little extra adrenaline in primetime. Just the pre-game hoopla and the different schedule would do that. When it's a divisional or emotional match up, even more adrenaline. I think it'd be pretty tough to treat Monday nights like other games - the 'all eyes on you' significance is there for anyone who's not a robot.

But I suspect JJ gives it his all 24/7. I think he just realizes as a player who is still pretty much an unknown quantity to a lot of people (casual fans), MNF is the venue which could 'tag' him forever in some minds.

I just hope guys like Roy Williams and our defense have a great game before a national audience. RW tends to have his most bonehead plays before a national audience.

That's pretty much what I think he meant as well. You can watch JJ and see that he gives it his all every game. However, on Monday Nights, with the national TV audience his adrenal gland should indeed be working overtime. I think all players can feel the buzz in the air for Monday Night games. Legs pump harder, faster, and emotions are running extremely high, pushing the world class athletes to an even higher stratosphere.

I hate the wait for MN games, but I love the atmosphere that surrounds them. I guess you could say that I think it's worth the wait even though an entire Sunday without my Cowboys is a tad bothersome. Like someone already said though --the NFL Sunday Ticket is put to full use on Sunday's without Dallas playing.

i would love for RW to have a few bone crushing hits than go out and intercept one and bat down a few more, just to shut up the "roy cant cover" people.

Nothing will shut them up...most of them are trying to cover Sean Taylor's lame non-covering arse.
