For those of us who trash Dak

Kskboys the man who fell from power and now has to read post that don't support DAK.....i feel for you Ksk.....
but he still can go out to bars and tell chicks, he use to be a mod on "the Dallas Cowboys forum"..... "hey baby, you might know this but I use to be a mod on the DCF, your place or mine"..."Come on Chetos lets go home, they're no Cowboys chicks here." . lmao

But you have to remember with Romo and Murray that Romo could at times carry the team and had the potential to have big numbers so teams couldnt just focus on shutting dow the run.
Just my opinion but teams that have a mediocre QB with a strong running game usually need a #1 defense to win anything. Teams with a good QB and good running game can win with a lesser defense!

Yes he could but he was a seasoned vet as well. When the offense is clicking he was not having to put up a lot of throws yet the throws were more effective because of the focus the defense had to place on stopping the run. I just don't think 4000 yard passing is some magic number. What I want to see is more TD and fewer ints than Dak had last season, for me it is being effective with the pass not how many yards you can throw for.

Almost every single QB who has done well in the beginning stages of his career was dependent on the team around him so what you're saying is total bull**** which is typical of what you post.
Exactly. I find it silly some suggest needing a good line and run game as if that's abnormal or bad.

Yes on less ints for sure. I actually would like to see Garrett and Linehan rely much more on the running game inside the 20. It always seems they go I to pass mode when the Cowboys get into the redzone.

Im not a Romo hater but he had his flaws too!
Nobody hates Dak either! Most of us that criticize Dak arent viewing him as a person we are looking at him as an NFL QB. Your right about him being mediocre to slightly above mediocre right now. That is where I have a problem because mediocre is no mans land! In my opinion every team should always be looking to upgrade every position on it and that means QB too. Now I understand you have to give players a chance to develop but the problem with Dak is his physical natural ability to throw the ball with velocity and accuracy. That means the defense doesnt respect parts of the field because they know he isnt accurate enough to throw a hard ball into certain windows. From the neck up he is fine and he has leadership written all over him but thats like saying he is a nice guy. Its not gonna get you anywhere! Below is Daks scouting report weaknesses and it sounds too familiar.
Im not saying Im not going to support him this season but in my opinion Dallas should continue searching for a franchise QB. They shouldnt be content if Dak has mediocre season.

Weaknesses
Beat up this year thanks to poor protection. When he wasn't being sacked, he was being hit hard. Not as competitive a rusher in 2015. Sacks and usage in run game might be taking a toll. Increase in short pass attempts from 86 to 208 this year reason for higher completion numbers. Accuracy on intermediate and deep throws dropped sharply. Pocket poise has been compromised. Hyper aware of pressure around him and lacks awareness to slide and find temporary shelter to make throw. Concern over pressure too often trumps ability to get through progressions. Must speed up the pace of his reads. Footwork is a mess. Slight stride onto stiff upper leg with little weight shift. Restricted follow through and too often tries to muscle throws with upper body. Throws to target rather than leading or throwing them open on short/intermediate throws. Too respectful of underneath coverage and must be more willing to challenge the defense. Needs to improve anticipation.
Damn I was trying to be optimistic and I think you brought me right back to reality. . . I am still gonna draft him though

9. Dallas Cowboys – 22.5 percent
Red zone passing scores: 12

Red zone rushing scores: 11

The Dallas Cowboys offense is nothing if not balanced. They are one of only two teams to have ten or more rushing scores from inside the red zone, and the only one of those teams (New Orleans) to be able to match that total in passing scores. Dallas has been able to pass for a dozen touchdowns in the red zone thanks to Dak Prescott’s accuracy, while still leaning on that offensive line and their blocking for their ground game.

The math just does not add up with Dak as your QB,

For me math is all there. Its the rushing yards and rushing TD's that really pump him up. Also depends on your scoring system. If you are 6 points for every passing TD then his value drops. But there are leagues that are only 3 or 4 points for a passing TD. In those leagues a rushing TD is 6 points and really helps the QB's. If he rushes for about an average of 30 yards per game and a rushing TD every other game thats and extra 6 points a game average onto his passing point numbers. So if he puts up 250 yards passing and 1.5 passing TD's a week then your looking at 12.5 points for passing yards, 6 points average for passing TD's at 4 points per TD and then the 6 points with his legs. Thats an everage of nearly 25 points a game. That is GREAT for QB. He would be a top 5 or 6 QB with those numbers. And has a good amount of 300 yard 3 TD passing games. The key for a QB is consistency. And he has consistency.

Now if your going to go on last year when the shelf fell off the offense the 2nd then its going to screw up your numbers. We have no reason to believe that Zeke will get suspended and the line will cave again. Unless either of those things happen, Dak should be at it again. And with the offense designed more to what he likes and with receivers in place to make more yards AFTER the catch then the duds we had previously, we should see his numbers increase in the passing arena.

That is my take. Do with it what you will.

How many of those rushing scores were Dak?

How many of those rushing scores were Dak?

On the season Zeke had 6 from, Morris 1 and Smith 4. (Inside the 20) What I posted earlier was only up until Nov. As for Dak and how many he got? Does it matter, does 6 by him count any less? If he fakes the handoff to Zeke as defenders pinch down on Zeke leaving a wideopen lane to the endzone did it matter if Dak carried it? As for Passing in the redzone on the season Dak had 14 passing TD
