Gregory has legit issues that go beyond weed use and hit at core of why he felt he "needed" to use.
I am 100% for legal and free use btw, but Gregory did have other issues and likely always will.
He is not the first bi-polar player this team has encountered and won't be the last.
His reasons for using are irrelevant. The problem is in trying to dictate another adult's life, when they aren't harming someone.
The NFL should bring their rules up to speed.
But the NFL, as it is now, will never do that.
Look at all those "random" tests Eric Reid is getting.
The NFL plays politics...but Irving's issues sound a little more serious than Gregory's...
I mean, unless you're a square hiding under a rock, you know the stuff now legal in most places isn't going to harm or kill you.
But the stuff Irving is rumored to be doing can kill you.
It still won't stop fans from comparing Gregory to Irving, when that's not a legitimate comparison.
People also shouldn't demonize Irving for screwing up his life, momentarily lets hope.
We should be rooting for him to get his crap together.... for his life.. But our fans are too shortsighted and will never see his life is more important than their fanaticism.
