For those of you Bashing David Irving, don't forget Gregory

More like dealing with a stupid player who could have gotten help besides using weed. He is clean now isn't he so what happened a magic cure? or is he now taking something that will help him and allow him to play within the rules of the NFL?

What makes me mad is when busy bodies worry about what someone else does with their time, body when it's not harming them or others (and may even be helping)..and when people who don't have true knowledge of what it's like for someone, acts like they do.

You seem to worry about what this team does or does not do and that is my concern, what is good for this team and I don't think having highly rated players missing half a season and full seasons is good for this team. If Gregory or any other player wants to quit like Ricky Williams did and go get high, great have fun. If they want to play in the NFL then like any other business you follow the rules and conduct they put forth.

When you get popped at the combines and everyone know you will be tested that is stupid. Then to fail test after test is stupid. There were other medications that evidently he is taking now to help and this all could have been avoided

Two different cases. Randy actually loves football and his teammates. I'm hearing not so much the case for Irving which is sad actually.

Like it was with Rolando McClain? We heard the same talk when he was throwing his career away too. Some fans can't bring themselves to accept the facts when it's simply bad news. Then, after it's confirmed, they "don't want to talke about the past or players not on the team".

Remember when everyone wanted the Cowboys to get rid of Randy Gregory because he just wouldn't put down the joint? Well, he's been a big contributor for the Cowboys this season. I am not saying that Irving for sure is going to turn things around, but this FO isn't so quick to just toss someone to the curb, if they feel that player wants to better themselves.

I would agree with you to a certain extent about this just remember David Irving signed a big one-year tender offer or whatever it was and Gregory was still under a rookie contract so there was not a big risk with Gregory and Gregory was not getting paid during that time Irving is

But obviously they both have some demons they are trying to fight for Gregory right now he seems to be winning that battle I don't know about Irving and with Irving it involves a child second send emotional crisis to a new level

Not 100% accurate.
Gregory has legit issues that go beyond weed use and hit at core of why he felt he "needed" to use.

I am 100% for legal and free use btw, but Gregory did have other issues and likely always will.
He is not the first bi-polar player this team has encountered and won't be the last.

His reasons for using are irrelevant. The problem is in trying to dictate another adult's life, when they aren't harming someone.

The NFL should bring their rules up to speed.

But the NFL, as it is now, will never do that.

Look at all those "random" tests Eric Reid is getting.

The NFL plays politics...but Irving's issues sound a little more serious than Gregory's...

I mean, unless you're a square hiding under a rock, you know the stuff now legal in most places isn't going to harm or kill you.

But the stuff Irving is rumored to be doing can kill you.

It still won't stop fans from comparing Gregory to Irving, when that's not a legitimate comparison.

People also shouldn't demonize Irving for screwing up his life, momentarily lets hope.

We should be rooting for him to get his crap together.... for his life.. But our fans are too shortsighted and will never see his life is more important than their fanaticism.

Two totally different situations.

For example, Gregory was barred from being able to use Cowboys facilities, etc. for a period during his down time. Irving is not being barred. He just chooses to not really come around the facilities all that much.

These really aren't comparable situations at all.

True, I would just as soon release Irving. As for Gregory again I'm happy he is clean and hope he remains that way but he was drafted to help this team no other reason, we needed an outside rusher and for a good while we had to do without because of his action and that hurt the team.

All the talk about it did not hurt the Cowboys money wise because he was not getting paid? So.... It hurt the team because it was talent that they could not use and they needed that talent on the field. I don't know about you but those games where Rodgers came up with big throws to kill the Cowboys hope maybe they don't happen if Gregory is playing instead of being suspended.

I don't know the whole story, I do know he was suspended 4 games last season, then suspended 4 games this season. Had an ankle injury so has missed more time, is not showing up at the facility. As I said with Gregory he is here for 1 reason only and that is too help this team win games and if you’re not doing that then we need to draft and acquire players who can.
